Ford has revealed the final version of the third-generation GT supercar. Built solely for track use, the Ford GT Mk IV pays homage to the GT40 that beat Ferrari on its way to winning at LeMans in 1967.

In keeping with the 1967 theme, Ford will only build 67 copies of the GT Mk IV. This car marks the final production of the supercar that debuted in 2016 and went on to win the LeMans endurance race in 2019.

Ford claims the 2023 GT Mk IV is the most capable Gen-3 car ever built. The improvements over previous generations include extensive front and rear aerodynamic enhancements, an oversized wing and diffuser, a larger front spoiler, and aero wheels. The twin-turbocharged V6 engine has a new tune, racing transmission, and shock absorbers. The overall wheelbase of this new track monster is also longer.

The Ford GT Mk IV will also feature an MSRP of $1.7 million, making it the priciest version of this supercar ever, and $700,000 more than the sticker price of the built-for-the-road GT models. Ford has built 250 GT models each year since 2017. Only 67 copies of the 2023 GT Mk IV will be put into production. Deliveries start in the Spring of 2023.
