10 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt
Shortly after the 2005 Ford Mustang's introduction, there were talks about reintroducing the Bullitt version for Mustang enthusiasts. The first iteration of the Ford Mustang Bullitt was revealed in 2008 and featured a host of upgrades from the Ford Racing department.
The Bullitt had more than just an appearance package. Some changes included a power upgrade package that added 15 more horsepower to the then Mustang’s 300 hp. Ford also fitted several suspension tweaks, including a strut tower brace, springs, and stiffer shocks. Besides these changes, the Bullitt Mustang received Highland Green paint, black wheels, and trim to help it stand out.
9 2009 Ford Mustang Iacocca 45th Anniversary Edition
The Lee Iacocca Mustang was a commemoration of 45 years of the Mustang. This Mustang was named after the famed American car executive Lee Iacocca and only 45 models were made. Even though this Mustang was introduced in 2009, the Iacocca model is still a sleek and striking model.
It had sunken headlights, a lower stance, a slanted grille, and the iconic fastback exterior design. Its 20-inch chrome alloy wheels were also another stand-out feature. The main focus with this Mustang was styling, with the Mustang’s original 4.6-liter V8 left untouched. The Lee Iacocca edition has aged well, with some models fetching over $120,000 in auctions.
8 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca
The 2012 Ford Mustang 302 was the first model to bear the iconic nameplate since 1970. Therefore, Ford had to do something extra to make this edition memorable, and that’s by introducing the Boss 302 Laguna Seca edition. Only 767 models were made, all with a host of added equipment from the already track-focused Boss 302 Mustang.
The new equipment included Recaro sport seats, revised suspension tuning with damper rates and unique springs, a Torsen limited-slip rear differential, and a larger rear stabilizer. It also had a tubular X brace in place of the rear seats, Ford Racing front brake ducks, and lightweight 19-inch wheels wrapped in super sticky R compound tires.
7 2015 Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition
Ford based the 50th Anniversary Mustang on the Mustang GT fastback, available in either pearly Kona Blue or creamy Wimbledon White colors. Only 1,964 units were sold, paying homage to the original Mustang’s launch year. The 50th Anniversary Mustang was Ford’s commemoration of 50 years of continuous production.
To make it special, Ford threw in some styling upgrades like new tail light housings, extra chrome trim on the exterior, and a unique badge denoting its rarity. The 50th Anniversary Mustang used the same 5.0-liter V8 engine, but it had Ford’s performance pack producing 414 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. The special edition Mustang also received performance brakes and 19-inch alloys wrapped in performance tires.
6 2022 Ford Mustang GT California Special
Ford introduced their special edition models to the 2022 Mustang lineup as they do now and again. In the lineup was the Mustang GT California Special, available with Mustang’s GT performance package to allow owners to enjoy performance California style.
Besides performance, the California Special is available with enhancements such as a honeycomb grille, an aggressive front bumper, prominent side intake scoops, and side stripes with GT lettering. The coupe versions have a sporty rear wing, with the convertible version featuring a wing delete setup as standard.
5 2019 Saleen Mustang 302 Black Label
Steve Saleen has been building high-performance Mustangs since the 1980s. Over forty years later, his machines have become collectibles for most car enthusiasts. His Saleen 302 model was available in three trims, Saleen Mustang 302 White Label, Yellow Label, and Black Label.
The White Label was available with the Mustang’s naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 producing 475 hp. The Yellow and Black Label models have a supercharged V8 producing 740 hp and 800 hp, respectively. With the Black Label being the most powerful version, it is becoming an item of interest for car collectors since it offers more control than the Hellcat.

The Old Crow is a charity collaboration project between Ford and Roush Performance. It pays homage to Colonel Bud Anderson, a World War II triple ace pilot. This model looks like a Mustang ready for aerial combat due to its paint that matches the historic P-51 Mustang fighter planes.
It’s a one-of-one Mustang that’s available with a TVS R2650 supercharger. This helps boost the 5.0-liter V8 to 710 hp and 610 lb-ft of torque. Additional performance modifications include the Ford Performance exhaust system, Roush performance X pipe, and cold air induction system.
2 2020 Roush Performance Jack Roush Edition
The Roush Performance Jack Roush edition is one of the most powerful mustangs in production, with 775 hp and 670 lb-ft of torque from a supercharged V8. This helps rocket the Jack Roush Edition from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. The edition is a celebration of 50 years of racing expertise.

The Super Snake was brought back with more refinement and a fresh look. The extremely limited Speedster edition is back with only 98 cars to commemorate the late Carroll Shelby’s 98th birthday. Powered by a supercharged Ford 5.0-liter V8, the Super Snake is one of the most powerful Mustangs capable of launching from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
