Ford has upped the social media squabble between the forthcoming Bronco reboot and its main competitor, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, in a big way. First, the Bronco headed to the famed Rubicon trail that inspired the Jeep's high-spec off-roading trim package and now, a new video from the fan forum The Bronco Nation's YouTube channel features 2021 Ford Broncos hitting all kinds of terrain around Moab, Utah, in some of the most rugged terrain available as a challenge for off-road vehicles. Let's take a look at how the all-new Bronco comports itself off-road in Moab.

Turn Down The Volume

In the clip, a duo of four-door Broncos and a lone two-door crawl up and down rocks, through narrow gaps, and along gravel trails. Unfortunately, the sound is completely drowned out by what must be one of the worst soundtracks ever—an incredibly dubious decision given that fans would no doubt be particularly interested to hear the Bronco's four or six-cylinder powerplant under load, especially given that a V8 option doesn't appear to be in the works quite yet.

Luckily, aftermarket companies are already lining up to give the new Ford product quick makeovers, from Baja-inspired builds by Saleen to hardcore mall-crawlers with V8 engines under the hood, as well.

Tackling Tough Terrain

One of the most hilarious aspects of the video other than the sound is that behind the parade of Blue Oval prototypes lurks a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Of course, as the caravan explored over 33 miles of terrain across famous routes with names like Poison Spider, Golden Spike, Rusty Nail, Gold Bar Rim, and Golden Crack, the Rubicon doesn't feature heavily—whether it was able to easily overcome obstacles that the Broncos struggled with doesn't really fit into the overt marketing theme of these "testing" segments. All that remains to be seen is how Jeep plans to clap back following a few weeks of downright domination across the web by Ford.
