Ford Performance now has an off-road suspension leveling kit for the 2019 Ranger and F-150 pickups.

Everybody wants their pickup to be better at off-roading, and Ford Performance likes providing parts and upgrades that everyone wants. So it comes as no surprise that the Blue Oval now has a suspension leveling kit for 4x4 Rangers and F-150s.

Although the kit comes as no surprise, there are some surprising things in this kit. First, there are exclusive FOX shocks designed and calibrated specifically for Ford pickups. There's also a 2-inch front lift, new front coilovers, and new suspension mounts that help reduce noise and vibration. All of this gives the Ranger or F-150 better ground clearance and off-road capabilities.

“Ford Performance Parts developed these kits to make the off-road experience even better for our Ranger and F-150 customers,” said Eric Cin, global director of Ford Vehicle Personalization and Accessories. “Truck customers are asking for options for increased capability and customization, and the new leveling suspension kits for Ranger and F-150 deliver on that need.”

That 2-inch front lift provides a 21% increase in approach angle and a 10% better breakover angle for the Ranger, while the F-150 gets a 22% better approach and a 7% better breakover. Meanwhile, the new FOX shocks have an aluminum body for "ample cooling capacity," while the new upper front mounts with polyurethane bushings reduce noise and bumps felt in the cabin.

“The secret sauce to this kit is in the Ford Performance tuning. This suspension and its tuning are designed to improve off-road handling and responsiveness, specifically for Ranger and F-150.”

Testing was performed in Borrego, California for high-speed off-roading, while low-speed rock-crawling was done in Arizona. Only after passing with flying colors did Ford decide to put this new kit up for sale.

That sale price is $1,495, not including installation fees. Any Ford dealer can install this kit for the 2019 Ranger or 2015-2019 F-150.
