As the competition for off-roading supremacy between Ford and Fiat-Chrysler escalates, General Motors has gotten into the game with the unveiling of a new, all-electric Hummer. Whether the revival could ever hope to live up to the original, military-derived H1 remains highly dubious, though it should, at the very least, leave the questionable H2 and H3 in the dust. To this day, the original Hummer can still prove its mettle in tugs of war and traction, despite not having the long-travel suspension or absurdly powerful drivetrains of products like the modern Ford F-150 Raptor and Ram TRX. And there's no way anyone would ever take an H1 and jump it in the air like in this YouTube video from a maniacal Ford Raptor owner who jumped his truck completely over a Hummer in a wild stunt that nobody should ever try at home.

Setting Out To Get The Ford Raptor Sky High

The video comes courtesy of Mike and his Street Speed 717 YouTube channel, which has previously focused mostly on Corvettes and sports cars with an odd truck sprinkled in for good measure. But last week, Mike apparently spent his time building a ramp and jumped his Raptor over a creek.

Hummer H1 Tug Of War

In the newest installment, which includes some tractor work to improve the ramp and the requisite tug-of-war between the two trucks (hint, traction is king), Mike sets out to get more air and more hangtime—whether the Raptor will survive the task is a serious concern throughout, especially after a trial run when a wheel appears to go flying into the distance after the truck completely bottoms out while landing.

Camera Tricks Help A Bit

The flying wheel appears to have been nothing more than a spare in the bed, and camera angles reveal that the Raptor may have gotten just high enough to clear the Hummer. Watch the video to see whether Mike can actually clear the H1 (roofline or otherwise) and whether the Raptor's suspension system completely gives out on a rough landing.
