Ford is bringing over 50 custom vehicles to this year’s SEMA show, and the F-Series Super Duty pickup isn’t going to be left out of the limelight.
We’ve seen Rangers, Expeditions, and Explorers, but now it’s time to preview some big custom pickup trucks. The Super Duty will arrive at SEMA in many custom forms, but here are a few highlights.
First, there’s the Ford F-250 Super Duty Tremor Crew Cab With Black Appearance Package. We talked about the Tremor off-road package before, providing the Super Duty with 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires, a 2-inch front lift kit, locking rear differential, and a Dana limited-slip front differential. It’s all designed to give the F-250 the same sort of off-road prowess as the Raptor while also improving its look.
The Black Appearance package blacks out the grille, while a chase rack, rock lighting, 50-inch Rigid LED light bar, and side steps give the Tremor Super Duty its rugged good looks. Note the earthquake graphics in the rear.
But if you really want to play the part of the rugged outdoorsman, look no further than the LGE-CTS Motorsports Baja Forged Ford F-250 Super Duty. Built around the XLT trim with a Crew Cab, this military-themed pickup is a mobile command center, workshop, and campsite all in one.
The bed has been replaced by a custom canopy that can house additional living space or supplies, while the Tepui rooftop tent provides occupants with a place to sleep at night. A 4.5-inch Stage 7 suspension lift-kit from Icon combines with massive 37-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires and a Warn winch for travel over any surface.
A fridge and camping chairs make this the most self-sufficient of pickups.
Except when compared to the BDS Suspension Ford F-350 Super Duty. This thing comes with a Knapheide aluminum service box containing a hard-shell tent and awning, Dometic CFX-75DZW electric refrigerator, two-burner gas grill, propane tank with a custom mount, Ridetech air compressor kit with air tank, power inverter, collapsible aluminum table, and camp chairs.
Massive 40-inch all-terrain tires, a 4-inch lift kit, and FOX 2.5 Dual Speed Compression coilovers and shocks make this pickup able to go anywhere and do anything.
