With rumors swirling as early as last summer of a possible Ford Bronco crew-cab pickup in the works, it now looks like we have our first glimpse (in concept art form) of what's bound to be a gargantuan release for the automaker—and all before we've even had a chance to experience the new Bronco yet. Casually inserted into what is an almost blink-and-you-miss-it moment, the brief tease appears in the middle of a Bronco and Bronco Sport design video uploaded to Ford's YouTube channel. The sketch is spotted visibly pinned to a whiteboard crowded around other concept illustrations and Post-it notes.

Our First Tease Of The Ford Bronco Pickup

Original projections had estimated a potential Bronco pickup release set for 2022, but that was before the pandemic. With Ford fans already experiencing delays with Bronco deliveries pushed back to summer 2021, this initial projection will likely move back even further, which lines up more with 2024 projections also floating around.

With the 2021 Ford Bronco already set to take on the Jeep Wrangler, a Bronco pickup would confront another dominant Jeep, though this time in the midsize pickup truck market: Gladiator. And if Ford does release a Bronco pickup, the chances are strong drivers won't use it merely for lugging surf boards around either.
