If you love everything Star Wars (the remake and not the classic) and everything VW, we have a treat for you. YouTube channel Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge, as in Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles just had a surprise visit from none other than Bulli fan Ewan McGregor.

His enthusiasm for the VW Bulli as in the Van or the Camper was certainly contagious and if you watch the video, you are likely to get infected too, in a good way…

Ewan McGregor Has Bullis Of His Own

The former Jedi Knight seemed super pumped to be at the Volkswagen Commercial plant in Hanover. Said Christian Schlüter, Brand Communications, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, “he’s a real Bulli fan. He can tell the difference between the different years and trims, and he knows what he’s talking about.”

McGregor stated, “I’ve owned a couple of camper vans and I now own a single cab. I like the commercial vehicles, I like the panel vans and the double cabs and the single cab. So, I own a single cab, and I’m building a panel van at the moment, from 1958.”

He seemed to appreciate being at the plant as he also said, “yeah it's amazing to see so many of these beautiful buses, all in one place. To see that they're being restored so beautifully by these gentlemen.”

The Christopher Robin actor also joked, “I'm thinking about giving up acting and coming to work here if they can fit me in.”

The Scottish actor seemed very interesting in every part of vehicular production as he stopped at every station wanting to know everything about everything. Considering he’s behind the travel-auto documentary series, “Long Way Up where he rides a Harley-Davidson LiveWire motorcycle, it’s not surprising to see him look so excited about an automobile plant visit.

McGregor is clearly an autophile as he spoke highly of the VW Bullis and the Beetle, saying these cars always brought a smile to everyone’s face.

He also said, “I'd like to have the orange and white one [all-electric ID. Buzz] because it's so sunny. I think there's a real love for both the Beetle and for the Bullis. You know when you're driving around in one as people have a smile, people wave at you. There's something very happy about these cars.”

Of course, everyone at Volkswagen was very happy to hear that because they could see the enthusiasm McGregor had for vehicles, and for Volkswagen as well.
