For openers, it's reportedly in great shape, since the superstar athlete has a reputation for cherishing the finer things in life. It also means if you've got the cash handy, you can drive away with the Aston Martin without any worries about repairs.

Under the hood, the Volante has an X Pack revamp—an engine power-boosting upgrade introduced to Aston Martin models in the 1980s—which supplies the 5.3-liter V8 motor with 432 horsepower.

That's enough for this luxury four-wheeler to hit a maximum speed of 170 mph or accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just over five seconds. A five-speed manual transmission is also a handy enabler for that level of performance. And thanks to those modifications, this Aston Martin doesn't purr like a kitten, it roars like a British lion.

Creamy Leather Interior

The upper-class ragtop's interior is set in vanilla leather seats and walnut trim on the sides and dash and a crimson deep pile carpet covers the floor. The crowning touches are the Ronal wheels, featuring lug nuts hidden from view. It's a value-added feature since this accessory is no longer on the market. Also driving the intrinsic value of the Volante is that it's almost literally a one-of-a-kind car in that only 78 of these models were ever manufactured.

Classic Car Warranty

Like any luxurious investment, the lucky owner will also receive a year-long classic car warranty at point of purchase. Given that the car is more than 30 years old, the warranty covers the risks of mechanical, structural and electrical wear-and-tear that could lead to performance failure. But what's really priceless are the bragging rights that come with buying a car once owned by one of the world's greatest athletes.
