Fans of the Gran Turismo series will have been loving life back in March 2022 when Polyphony Digital launched the latest iteration of the game, which is of course Gran Turismo 7. The game launched to much fanfare, although there have been a number of issues, mainly with in-game credits, along the way. But many people are still enjoying the game, and the creators did ease the pain of the excessive grinding initially needed to get good cars in the game.

Fast-forward to November 2022 and there have been plenty of extra updates to the game. The beauty of Gran Turismo 7 is that the lifetime of the game will be quite long and there will no doubt be plenty of hugely exciting updates coming the way for the next few years. Polyphony Digital have just released the November 2022 update for the game, which adds three new cars to Gran Turismo 7, a special 25th Anniversary Edition livery, and the Road Atlanta track in the USA is now also in the game, adding plenty of fun ahead of the Christmas holiday season.

Red Bull X2019 Livery Headlines The Latest Gran Turismo 7 Update

For those who are incredibly excited about the cars in each new update, it is these three new machines that will get you the most excited. First of all we have the Gran Turismo Red Bull Z2019 25th Anniversary Special Edition. This year is of course 25 years since Gran Turismo first launched on the first-ever PlayStation back in 1997 in Japan. This special 25th Edition livery for the Red Bull X2019 is the perfect way to commemorate that milestone.

The X2019 now features a striking new livery, with a purple, blue, red and white paint scheme allowing the striking looking racer to stand out even more. It is a small change to the car, but a neat one nonetheless. The update also includes two new locations to take pictures of the cars in the Scapes mode within the game. The first of these is the Illuminations location at the Shinko Central Square in Yokohama, Japan. The second one is the racetrack of Road Atlanta itself, so you can race around the circuit and then go and pose for some neat photographs straight after.

Plenty Of Other Things To Get Excited About With Three New Cars

The first of the new cars we want to talk about is the 2018 BMW M2 Competition. This is the newest of three cars that Polyphony Digital has added to the game. This is the previous generation to the current M2, and under the hood is a 3.0-liter inline-six engine with 405 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. This should give the car a 0-60 mph time of 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 174 mph. A cool addition no doubt, but not the coolest car to come in the update.

Next up we have the rather stunning 1996 Nissan Silvia K’s aero. The Silvia itself went through a bit of a styling refresh in 1996, giving the hoods tip something of a more rounded shape. The headlights of the Silvia were also tweaked slightly to match that new rounded look, and keep the whole car looking fresh. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that gives the Silvia some 217 hp, and the car is of course rear-wheel drive. This new Silvia complements the 1994 Silvia K’s Type S beautifully, a car that came in the game's September update.

A Bit Of Ford Flair Rounds Out The New Cars

Finally, for those who like a bit of action from the Blue Oval, a new Ford enters the fray. Polyphony Digital have brought the 1987 Ford Sierra RS 500 Cosworth into the game as part of this update. Fans of the 500 Cosworth will know that this was the spicier version of the rather hot in itself Sierra RS Cosworth. Changes that made this new version even hotter included the bigger turbo and intercooler, and this Ford classic produced a rather handy 224 hp.

Finally, the iconic American circuit of Road Atlanta joins the Gran Turismo 7 party in this latest and greatest update. The track itself is famously located in Braselton, Georgia, and it is a 2.54 mile long circuit with 12 corners. The circuit is the host of the finale of the IMSA series, hosting the Petit Le Mans event which is so often one of the most dramatic races of the IMSA season. Cars such as the Ford GT and Chevrolet Corvette GT racers from the WEC and IMSA championship will be perfect for the circuit, as will the likes of the Peugeot and Audi LMP1 cars. The track and cars in this update are all stunning, and makes an already expansive game even bigger.
