About The Grand Tour:

Grand Tour was created after Jeremy, James and Richard departed from the BBC series Top Gear. It was originally contracted with 36 episodes over 3 years.

When the program first came about, it followed the same format and outline of Top Gear between 2016-2019. The series included car reviews, time laps, challenges and races, studio segments, and celebrity guests.

In season 1, the team worked out of a tent that was located across different locations around the world but now they have taken a fixed location in Cotswolds. The episodes were released weekly onto Amazon Prime and repeats of the series was made available on traditional broadcasters in late 2017.

The Grand Tour is released to viewers across more than 195 countries. It has created a new love and appreciation for cars that people did not know was possible.

This is a great series to watch because the team still challenges the 3 men to make and modify cars to compete against each other. You cannot help but love the banter that happens between them along the way.

Some of the best moments on The Grand Tour Season 4:

Via: BBC

On 13 December 2018, Amazon announced that the Grand Tour has been renewed for a fourth season. Fans around the world were eager to see what was going to happen during season 4.

Amazon did change up the show a little bit and they decided that this season was going to be about the team traveling from one location to another in a selection of vehicles they have chosen for a task that was given to them.

We have only seen 2 episodes from the new season 4. With that being said, Season 4 episode 1… Jeremy and the team are seen back in the iconic tent. Jeremy took a Porsche RS around the track. He said that this car was “very very good… Annoyingly”. This is one of the best moments because, in the beginning, you could see that he wanted this to be a bad car but in the end, his face starts to drop as he realizes how good the RS really is and begins to enjoy the ride.

Next, he drove a BMW, M4 GTS. The car looks good and looks like it has a lot of power! Jeremy driving this car is a real laugh. Watching him get a team in to adjust the ride height of the car just so that he can get over a small bump will have you in stitches!

“ Then there is the ride which is extremely bumpy and the drone from the tired which is horrendous. After 10 minutes on a motorway, you will have a headache and you won't have any headache pills with you because there is nowhere to put them.”

Season 4 Episode 1 had a challenge for the men to create environmentally friendly car bodies… This is an episode worth watching a couple of times over.

The Grand Tour is great because the team still has their sense of humor. They do not have a filter which means they are not scared to say what they feel about a car. This makes for great TV and will give you and the family a great laugh.

Will there be a new season of The Grand Tour?

The coronavirus has put a stop to the world and that means that filming had to be put on hold of most series in the TV industry. That included The Grand Tour. Season 4 is meant to be the new season and we have been able to get our hands on 2 of the episodes but what about the rest of the season?

A release date has not been announced just yet and fans are becoming a bit annoyed by this because we are missing the trio on our screens. In an interview with Express.co.uk, James May said the following about the show:

“I understand the delay because the material for TV is a precious commodity at the moment. We don’t want to throw it away, you know, it’s a special, it’s got to go on at the right time."

James then went into more detail on the fan’s reaction to the lack of a release date:

“It is difficult to answer people when they go ‘where the b****y hell is it? We know you’ve made it. We know it’s ready. Why don’t they just put it on? And I don’t know what to say apart from just why not watch my cooking show in the meantime, you know? But it is coming. And it is I think pretty good.”

We really can't say it any better.
