Ford isn’t done by a long shot with its newly unveiled Bronco off-road SUV, not when it's celebrating its 55th anniversary. Just recently, Ford revealed five new adventure-inspired customized Bronco concepts and announced another shot at the famed Baja 1000 rally that it failed to finish last year. Let’s take closer look at these new developments for the cult favorite Bronco.

Customer response to the new Ford Bronco was so overwhelming with more than 165,000 people placing deposits of $100 for their online orders in the first three weeks since the SUV was unveiled. In addition, Ford is facing up to an 18-month delay for Bronco deliveries. With such a positive response, Ford decided to demonstrate how far customers could tinker with their off-road metallic horse with five new concepts.

Of course, customers may tinker with their new Bronco and Bronco Sport SUVs beyond the scope of these five concepts. This is achievable thanks to a multitude of factory-backed accessories in addition to a laundry list of standard options. More than 200 accessories can be optioned for the Bronco while over 100 accessories can be picked for the smaller Bronco sport.

After failing to finish the 2019 Baja 1000, the Bronco R will return to the 2020 edition of the ultimate rally this fall. Because of its 2019 failure, Ford is out to prove that the Bronco is the real thing off road. The carmaker is continuing to accept reservations for the Bronco and orders for the Bronco Sport so hurry up and get in line.
