There is a Hellcat-powered Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 6x6 for sale for a mere $289,900 that you should buy right now.

The 2020 Gladiator is great and all, but it’s still going to be a while before it hits dealers. For those who can’t wait, there’s a Jeep pickup truck already for sale on Craigslist that has an added bonus: an extra axle and a Hellcat engine.

That’s right--not only do you get an extra pair of big, beefy off-road tires, you also get over 700 horses commanding them over whatever terrain you feel like driving over.

Jalopnik has pointed us toward this incredible opportunity for any California native with a penchant for overpowered jeeps. Or indeed, anyone living in the California area. According to the ad, this Wrangler Rubicon has been given a 5-inch lift kit, 35-inch tires, a brand new custom carbon fiber hood scoop, custom wheels, and of course, a custom bed with an extra set of wheels.

And of course, the 6.2-L supercharged V8 from a Dodge Challenger/Charger Hellcat.

We don’t have a lot of information on the seller since its a Craigslist ad, but we were able to find an article from Truck Trend that also happens to be a Jeep Wrangler 6x6 with a Hellcat engine inside. What are the odds there are two custom body shops making 6x6 Hellcat Wranglers?

According to the article, Wild Boar Off Road of Orange County California is to thanks for this beast, with a little help from Dakota Customs shoe-horning the Hellcat engine under the hood. Some custom engine tuning has even managed to get the 6.2-L V8 to squeeze out a little extra power, producing 754 hp and 675 lb-ft compared to the original 707 hp and 650 lb-ft it made under the hood of a Hellcat.

A new 6-speed automatic transmission was installed to handle the extra power, along with some suspension upgrades to handle the additional weight. The 6x6’s bed extends the Wrangler’s rear an extra 36 inches, providing plenty of room for additional storage, an extra fuel tank, and a 7th tire on the tailgate.

At $289,900, this 6x6 sounds like a steal.
