There is perhaps no car more well known and synonymous with hot rod culture then the 1932 Ford - the "Little Deuce Coupe." And the current example submitted for your approval today certainly does not disappoint. Red Hills Rods is offering this custom built 1932 Ford Roadster hand fabricated by East Cost Customs for Jim Farley, Ford's former Head of Global Marketing. The car made its debut several years ago at the Grand National Roadster Show and was a finalist at America's Most Beautiful Roadster Event (AMBR). In style, design, performance and build quality it is one of the most beautiful examples of the 'Deuce" coupe ever to be created. Let's take a look at Jim Farley'e V8 Flyer.

East Cost Customs started with an original 1932 Ford body and completely stripped it down, media blasted it and then built it back up again in steel. No bondo here! There is a custom fabricated 4 piece hood, a custom grille shell with detailed metalwork, an aluminum rolled rear body pan and a custom chop with re contoured windshield frame. They also installed front and rear nerf bars, raised the trunk floor, and took a set of 1939 Ford teardrop headlights and modded them with custom crossbars. Last up it was finished in a custom pre-war Alfa Romeo Maroon paint job.

Not Your Ordinary Build

Under the hood, it's all Ford. They used a modular 4.6 liter V8 and while that might seem inappropriate for the car the trick features make it look like a stand out. It has custom hand-crafted one-off aluminum valve covers, a trick twin V-belt setup, Powermaster alternator, crankshaft driven tach drive, and a slick fuel injection system that's hidden inside a 1955 Hilborn DeSoto mechanical setup.

Custom headers were fabricated as were a hand made valley pan. It has a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission to handle shifting duties. The wheels are authentic magnesium Indy-roadster units with 18” in the rear and 16” up front shod with Dunlop Racing tires.

The price is listed at $199,500 but you won't find this level of customization and detail out of anything on the road beside a SEMA car. Buckle up.
