YouTube channel Hennessey Performance just gave its fans a glimpse of all that their juiced-up RAM TRX can do, and it’s nothing short of spectacular. Given that this is the house of the Venom F5, and the largest lineup of high-performance sports cars, muscle cars, supercars, trucks, and SUVs, a surprise is not part of the equation. But the Mammoth always has an ace up its sleeve, so have a look for yourself.
The Hennessey Mammoth 6X6 Is The Ultimate RAM TRX
The Mammoth is something even Hennessey calls its ultimate RAM 1500 TRX, in the most ‘Merican way possible. They say, everything about this pickup is “bigger, longer, taller, more powerful, noisier, and has plenty more of everything!”
Hennessey extended the platform on his one, adding a third axle, and turned the bed into one gigantic one, making everything king-size.
The engine comes tuned to net 1,200 horsepower, and the only bad thing about this pickup is that the Hellephant-powered 6x6 production run comes limited to three examples only. Hennessey has confirmed that the production run is over, but that doesn’t mean we cannot enjoy the final shakedown video filmed at the Pennzoil Proving Ground.
Fans Feel That This RAM Eats Raptors For Breakfast
The video is fantastic and shows off the Hennessey Mammoth 6X6 as a veritable beast, considering it flips the camera over it as comes racing down the road. One fan said it right, "that's an awesome build. The TRX is a beast, the Hellephant is a demon, and the two, combined with 6x6, make an infernal demonic beast that eats Raptors for breakfast."
Given that this beast comes riding on an upgraded Bilstein suspension for ultimate asphalt control, and a ton of other goodies to handle its powerful self, fans can dream of owning one even if they can’t fess up the actual cash needed to get one.
The size of the truck is enough to impress, frankly, and then when you put in the 1,200 horsepower under the hood and add all the other details like the superchargers system and the 969 lb-ft of torque, the Mammoth 6X6 comes designed to blow everyone away.
