In a world where Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge and Ram trucks are trying to outdo each other, the GMC Sierra seemed to be overlooked. Some people may refuse to see the potential of this General Motors truck, but this is one upgrade they can't deny.
This is a 700-hp GMC Sierra AT4 boosted by Hennessey Performance with its Goliath 700 supercharged upgrade.
Supercharging GMC's 6.2-Liter V8
The hard fact is that even in factory form, the GMC Sierra is pretty powerful, especially if it's served by a 6.2-liter V-8 VVT DI engine (with Dynamic Fuel Management and Stop/Start). Made from cast aluminum, this V-8 engine can provide up to 420 of max output at 5600 rpm and 460 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,100 lbs. (both SAE certified).
GMC's Sierra AT4 is actually its answer to the Chevrolet Trail Boss. But if you want to score a total victory even against other makes, your Sierra AT4 truck may need some tuning works to hike its output. Hennessey Performance can take care of such an upgrade, boosting Sierra's output to a max of 700 hp at 6,300 rpm. This is good for a 0-60 mph sprint time of just 4.3 seconds.
How The Upgrade Is Done
When implementing the Goliath 700 supercharged upgrade on a 2020 Sierra AT4, Hennessey will install various systems to achieve the desired output. For instance, Hennessey will not just install a 2.9-liter supercharger, it will also mount supporting elements including a high-flow intercooling system, a high-flow air induction system, and CNC ported cylinder heads, as well as custom HPE Camshaft, chromoly hardened pushrods, and a crankcase ventilation system.
Each Sierra AT4 with the Goliath 700 supercharged upgrade is marked by a serial-numbered dash plaque, a serial-numbered engine plaque and Hennessey embroidered headrests. Various badging is also glued such as Hennessey exterior badging, Goliath 700 exterior badging, and supercharged badging.
Goliath Off-Road Stage 1 Package
It seems that this Goliath 700-upgraded GMC Sierra AT4 delivered to Mr. Kindsvater has been upgraded with the Goliath Off-Road Stage 1 Package that includes a Goliath front bumper with five LED lights, 20-inch Hennessey 10-spoke wheels, and 35-inch Toyo off-road tires.
