Now, the carmaker has taken one step up and entered the electric car market. Introducing their first electric car in 2018, the e-Tron, they have since expanded the collection with five more models.

To start the Audi E-Tron lineup, we have the 2018 model. The E-Tron was first produced as a concept car at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Little did the Audi team realize just how much traction this all-electric mid-size crossover SUV would receive. It is Audi's first mass-produced electric car. Its 55 Quattro 95kWh lithium-ion battery offers up to 204 miles in range, which for a 2018 model is quite outstanding.

The 2018 model was a 5-door coupe-style SUV, which offered ultimate comfort and ease of use. This model can charge from 0 to 80% battery in 30 minutes using fast-chargers to add to its comfort and convenience. The 2018 E-Tron was highly impressive at its first appearance in 2015 and still is an excellent option for families and beginners to the electric car world.

The Q2 E-Tron release in 2019 was an extension of its Q range, which offers long bases and more cabin space. It is the ideal ride for large families or people who venture on long journeys with lots of equipment. The Q2 is unlike any other Q model from Audi, as it is all-electric and exclusively created for the Chinese market. Due to its exclusive release, there are fewer specification details for the Q2.

The 2020 Sportback E-Tron was a complete upgrade of the first-ever E-Tron variant, which was the first release in the lineup in 2018. This model offers up to 218 miles in range, which exceeded any range the Audi team had produced.

Externally, it is distinguishable from the original E-Tron as it has a more sporty appearance with more aggressive bumpers and headlights. Other exterior differences include a curvier shape and a liftback tailgate. The game-changer is the longer and more reliable range.

The E-Tron GT model is where Audi started changing its game for its electric cars. The GT is the first in the lineup that stands out from the previous models for specifications and design. Instead of its SUV style, the GT is a luxury four-door sports coupe. Its 93 kWh battery offers up to 250 miles in range and 650 horsepower, incredibly powerful and reliable for long drives.

Its appearance is extremely minimal and futuristic, with seamless bodywork and low headlights. The interior is pretty impressive, consisting mostly of sustainable materials. Audi is clearly paving the way for a sustainable lineup of cars. The E-Tron GT will release in summer 2021 with a starting price of $95,000. An RS model is due to be released, which will cost an average of $175,000.

The next release in Audi's E-Tron lineup will be the Q4, available in a standard or Sportback version. The four-wheel-drive will be able to take its drivers up to 280 miles without recharging. The range is the most impressive yet from Audi, which just signifies Audi's future electric car lineup will keep getting better and better.

Audi started with its first-ever electric car in 2018, with the E-Tron. Then, the maximum range was 204 miles between each charge. In just a few years, the German car manufacturer has managed to increase the range and improve the overall appearance and driving satisfaction.

The Q4 original and Sportback appear to be high-rise, with outstanding suspension for ultimate handling and comfort while driving. The battery is placed underneath the bodywork, which provides the driver and their passengers more room in the cabin. They certainly have thought of everything for this model. The entertainment system has even improved with a 12.3-inch touchscreen with augmented reality functions.

Although the Q4 E-Tron range has improved and upgraded, the price point is pretty fair. The starting point for the standard model is $65,000.

In summary, Audi has gone above and beyond for their E-Tron lineup. In just a few years, the team has produced an extensive lineup of reliable, powerful, and sustainable cars. Not only are there SUVs, but there are also sports cars and crossovers. Since the first E-Tron release in 2018, Audi has knuckled down to produce better range and more futuristic features. The effort really has paid off, and we're excited to see what's next for Audi's electric car lineup.
