For some people, turning their passion or hobby into a career already makes them wealthy because every day is a happy one. Finding something you love and getting paid handsomely for it is even better.

Aaron Kaufman first rose to fame as the passionate mechanic and fabricator on the car restoration show 'Fast N' Loud' in 2012. That exposure from the reality television series helped make Kaufman a household name.

He has starred in his own shows and established himself so admirably in the industry that he left the Gas Monkey Garage behind to start his own. There are plenty of different revenue streams for the fabricator, and the money just keeps on rolling in for Kaufman.

With so much success in the automotive industry, we're taking a look at what Aaron Kaufman's net worth is in 2021.

Although he wasn't born with a wrench in his hand, he may as well have been. Kaufman's passion for all things automotive developed early in his life, and he is a self-taught fabricator. The skills he picked up along the way endeared him to head Gas Monkey, Richard Rawlings.

The head mechanic took a shine to Kaufman from the moment he met him, and his skills working on cars meant Rawlings offered him a job. As Gas Monkey Garage began to shine, it caught the attention of producers at Discovery, eventually making superstars of Rawlings and Kaufman.

'Fast N' Loud' let Kaufman share his passion for cars, but when the reality show started to take the attention away from the mechanical side and toward the drama, he slipped out. Kaufman went his own way, heading up 'Shifting Gears with Aaron Kaufman' on the Discovery Channel in 2018.

The mechanic then starred in another show 'Aaron Needs A Job,' which saw Kaufman travel the country working on project cars. While it quickly got canceled, Kaufman didn't stand still for long.

Kaufman has his own business, Arclight Fabrication, that provides aftermarket parts for the Ford F-100 pickup. The mechanic made his name restoring old cars into amazing hotrods, with his particular attention to detailing that was unrivaled by anyone. It wasn't just the quality of his work that impressed, however, and Kaufman's speed at getting the job done was another huge asset for Gas Monkey Garage.

Kaufman spent a decade working with Rawlings before opening his own shop where he could work at his own pace rather than what the TV schedule dictated. In 2015, Kaufman also got to live out one of his wildest fantasies, getting behind the wheel of a race car. He competed in the Speed Energy Formula Off-Road series, which is otherwise known as Stadium Super Trucks.

Kaufman only raced in two events, and while he didn't win, he did at least earn some official points for the team he competed for. Moving away from 'Fast N' Loud' gave Kaufman the freedom to work on larger projects and others that were closer to his heart. His new garage focuses mostly on F-100 pickups, but his new venture also gives him time to try new things.

A Rocky Relationship With Richard Rawlings?

Although the focus of 'Fast N' Loud' was initially all about the cars, the relationship between Kaufman and Rawlings was an interesting one. On the surface, it appeared as though these two guys were the best of friends but as time went on the pair seemed to want different things.

Kaufman and Rawlings worked well together, but the former just wanted to try something new after being a part of Gas Monkey Garage for so long. The pair decided to part ways with Kaufman leaving the show, and it seems like they both got to move on without too much turmoil. Rawlings continued to run Gas Monkey Garage while Kaufman got to do his own thing.

What Is Aaron Kaufman's Net Worth?

Thanks to the success of his career with 'Fast N' Loud' and his new business ventures, it seems as though Aaron Kaufman is doing well for himself. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Aaron Kaufman is worth an estimated $8 million. Kaufman's ability to turn ordinary cars into hotrods that would set anyone's pulse racing has seen him make some serious money.

Although taking a junker and turning it into a working vehicle isn't special, the way that Kaufman made it seem like a work of art is. Starting with old, used cars worth thousands or sometimes only hundreds of dollars and turning them into five-figure cars generates plenty of money for all involved.

Throwing the value of Arclight Fabrication into the mix and it's clear that Kaufman's net worth is an enviable one. One of Kaufman's most famous builds from 'Fast N' Loud' is the 500-horsepower 1963 Ford Falcon, which he took to race at Pikes Peak. Kaufman sold that restoration for $65,000 on eBay. His ability to practically make something from nothing means he'll always find himself in a job, especially when the work he does is to such a high standard.
