Due to the exotic beauty that comes from her Portuguese descent and her modeling career, many have questioned her dedication to the job in the past, even going so far as to ask if she is a “real” mechanic or an actress on the show.

However, as a self-proclaimed “gearhead,” she has proved her expertise many times over during the show’s running by knowing her way around nearly any type of engine, especially those in the classic cars the show is known for repairing. Now, she is venturing out on her own, as she declared in a recent post on her Instagram, to open her very own shop, Cars by Constance, in Murrieta, California.

Apparently, there was no love lost between her and the previous shop as, in the post, she goes on to thank everyone who had supported her career in mechanics and specifically named those at Gotham Garage, stating that she will, “of course” still be helping out there upon occasion. She also revealed a few other interesting facts about the plan for her new shop and the projected opening date.

In addition to the influence her father had on her education in building vehicles, Constance also has a slew of experience under her belt. In the past, she has worked for not only Gotham Garage but also in the service departments of Ford, Acura, BMW, and Audi. She has also worked for many other Los Angeles garages and shops, which she plans to continue to visit and work in conjunction with in the future, even after she opens her own shop.
