New spy shots taken at the Nurburgring reveal that German auto giant BMW may soon release an even faster version of the M8 Coupe.

According to Auto Express, it may be called the M8 CS, and it will join the recently launched M5 CS super saloon in the automaker's line-up, providing an insignificant power gain and some fairly extensive chassis modifications designed to make it more adapted to road conditions.

The M8 CS should arrive in the UK by the end of this year. It may cost £40,000 ($56,600) more than the M5 Competition and the M5 CS, so BMW customers should expect to pay approximately £160,000 ($226,500) for it. Not exactly cheap, but with BMW models, drivers know that they are paying for the best.

BMW has received some bad publicity in the news following a Reuters report which stated that the German luxury carmaker would have to set aside $1.2 billion less than initially feared for anticipated European antitrust fines for alleged collusion with rivals on emission-reduction technologies. Hopefully, the M8 CS should help them transform their fortunes.

As promising as the M8 CS seems, the bad news is that Motor Authority reports that Lamborghini now has a faster Huracan, the STO, and it was spotted testing at the Nurburgring as well. For those who have a need for speed, Lamborghini's new model may well shatter the fortunes of BMW's latest speedster.

So which one could be better in the future? Let's find out everything we know about BMW's and Lamborghini's upcoming cars.

The chassis upgrades in the new M8 CS seem a little more extensive. Its height is a lot lower than before and, behind its alloy wheels, there are some new cross-drilled brake discs and bigger calipers. However, it would be wise not to prepare yourself for some radical changes from the M5 CS, as there should be plenty of carry-over components from that model. For example, there should be upgraded and returned suspension dampers and stiffer engine mounts.

Despite this, there is a reason why BMW has added these visual tweaks; they are meant to provide both function and form. The coupe's aerodynamic performance will benefit from the deeper front splitter, massive rear wing, and an assertive new diffuser, while the modified vents behind the front wheel arches should help dismiss high-pressure air and heat from the brakes. There should also be a meshless grille to improve cooling.

Car Wow noticed that the back of the model is dominated by a gigantic rear wing.

Many people will definitely feel like they are driving a racing car when they step inside the new M8 CS, as the interior will feature two lightweight bucket seats, an Alcantara steering wheel, new colored seat belts, and some carbon fiber trim. The infotainment system is being improved thanks to a 12.3-inch infotainment system to replace the standard car's 10.25-inch unit. There is also the option to remove the car's infotainment and climate control, as well as the rear seats. They should also expect a roll cage.

How Much Do We Know About The New BMW M8 CS's Performance?

Rather like with the new M8 CS's design, the German auto giant has decided to line up its latest model's engine with that of the M5 CS. It will have a modified twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine that will produce 626 BHP and 750 Nm of torque.

Other changes would include an improved oil system, a freer-flowing exhaust, and a full engine ECU remap. Unfortunately, the upgrades should only result in BMW's newest vehicle being 10 BHP faster than the M8 Competition. Furthermore, the M8's eight-speed automatic gearbox and configurable four-wheel-drive will also remain. Chassis-stiffening measures and weight reduction are also likely.

Could The Lamborghini Huracan STO Best The New BMW M8 CS?

Unveiled last year, the Huracan STO is derived from the Huracan Super Trofeo race car, and like the new M8 CS, its weight has been reduced, and its aero boosting performance has been improved. The naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine in the STO also has a 630 HP rating.

Multiple air ducts located in the front of the car help improve the STO's performance, which is now a single cowl joining the fenders and the hood.

Germany's established automaker has produced a luxurious and incredibly fast M8 CS, and there are a lot of reasons why BMW customers should get excited about it. But for those who want to go a little bit faster and for those who can afford it, the Huracan STO definitely ticks those boxes.
