Luxury SUVs are generally known for their buttery powertrains, and things just get better when it's an EV. The 450 models are powered by a 355-hp PSM. The 450+ with rear-wheel-wheel drive offers 419 lb-ft of torque, while the 450 4Matic offers 590 lb-ft of torque and is faster than the latter by 0.7 seconds. The top-spec EQS 580 employs two motors at the front and rear to offer a total output of 536 horsepower and 632 lb-ft of torque, and it takes only 4.4 seconds to accelerate to sixty.
All models have a massive 108.4 kWh lithium-ion battery offering a maximum of 417 miles of range. Mercedes says the battery takes only 31 minutes to charge fully with the 200 kW DC fast charger, which means the EQS offers one of the fastest charging architectures in the luxury SUV segment.

The Mercedes-EQS is wise when it comes to using power in real life. Irrespective of the 450 or 580 models, all EQS SUVs offer a great driving experience, hitting the sweet spot between sharp handling, poised behavior, and ride quality.

With this, the EQS achieves a turning radius of only 36 feet, which merits easier control off-roads, inside cities, and in parking lots.

The Mercedes-EQS unlike other luxury SUVs offers lavish aerodynamics to optimize performance. The exterior features optional running boards that are inspired by the underbody of F1 cars. It directs the airflow behind the wheels and increases performance.

The EQS SUV Renders Best-In-Class Technologies
Mercedes has stuffed the EQS with a long list of technologies. For infotainment, the cockpit offers a 56-inch wide hyper OLED display running on the latest MBUX interface. It consists of a 12.3-inch digital cluster, a 17.7-inch touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch screen for the front passengers.
Mercedes also offers a couple of 11.6-inch displays for rear passengers as well. On top of that, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, intelligent navigation with voice assist, HD Radio, an HUD, a Dolby Atmos immersive audio system, online music streaming apps, and plenty of other features are present.
Safety is well covered too. The EQS comes with the most essential safety features like the Driving Assistance Package, Active Distance Assist Distronic, Lane Detection, Evasive Steering Assist, Blindspot Monitor and Exit Warning, active brake assist, cross-traffic alert, and plenty more features.
