The 450+ with rear-wheel-wheel drive offers 419 lb-ft of torque, while the 450 4Matic offers 590 lb-ft of torque and is faster than the latter by 0.7 seconds. The top-spec EQS 580 employs two motors at the front and rear to offer a total output of 536 horsepower and 632 lb-ft of torque, and it takes only 4.4 seconds to accelerate to sixty.

All models have a massive 108.4 kWh lithium-ion battery offering a maximum of 417 miles of range. Mercedes says the battery takes only 31 minutes to charge fully with the 200 kW DC fast charger, which means the EQS offers one of the fastest charging architectures in the luxury SUV segment.

Mercedes has stuffed the EQS with a long list of technologies. For infotainment, the cockpit offers a 56-inch wide hyper OLED display running on the latest MBUX interface. It consists of a 12.3-inch digital cluster, a 17.7-inch touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch screen for the front passengers.

Mercedes also offers a couple of 11.6-inch displays for rear passengers as well.
