As far as the design is concerned, the 2021 BMW G 310 GS is still sporting the same high front fender, striking fly line, a high rear end, and the same windshield. The clutch, alternator, and water pump are now painted in Titanium Grey Metallic now.

From afar, it may seem that the 2021 BMW G 310 GS has no major changes as the appearance is still fairly familiar, where it gives off a 'mini-R 1250 GS' vibe. The LED headlight arrangement has been changed at both the front and rear now.

BMW has also added two new color options that are available- the Rallye Finish-with polar white and gray colors, and the Kyanit Blue, red and white look that mirrors its sportier models. The standard metallic titanium gray is also available. The BMW also has the "40 Years GS" edition which is based on the primitive R 100 GS, which comes in Cosmic Black with yellow graphics.

At the core of the 2021 BMW G 310 GS, still breathes the 313cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder which dishes out  38 HP at 9500 rpm, and is able to generate 21 ft-lbs torque at 7500 rpm. The compression ratio of the DOHC engine is 10.9:1. The 2021 BMW G 310 GS has a wet sump lubrication system.

The 2021 BMW G 310 GS has received an 'electronic throttle grip' for a more sensitive and sportier reaction. The BMW has made use of the six-speed transmission for this particular model. Adding to it, BMW has also thrown in a self-boosting 'anti-hop' clutch for smoother experiences. The anti-hopping clutch also known as the slipper clutch prevents over-engine rev and chatter, especially under hard braking conditions.

The 43 mm USD fork and preload-adjustable mono-shock appear to be identical to the older GS models. BMW has, however, changed the tuning of the suspension units by tweaking them slightly to make them fall in a region where they aren't too soft neither too wallow. As far as the braking system is concerned, the bike has been mounted with a 300 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc brake setup, it also has the standard Anti-locking Brake System(ABS).

The 2021 BMW G 310 GS easily stands out in the limited field of small-bore adventure-touring rigs. The 2021 BMW G 310 GS has but a few rivals in the market like the Versys-X 300, the KTM 390 Adventure, and the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The 2021 BMW G 310 GS has made its own position in the market with the powerful engine, the new feature set, and to top it all of it carries the BMW Badge which is a matter of prestige and value owing to the gigantic history the brand has in the motor vehicle's industry.  But, for a small price difference, the KTM 390 Adventure brings to the table its more powerful engine, making it the quicker of the two.

BMW also comes in with a 3 years warranty which covers-36 months of repairs, is valid worldwide, has no mileage limit, repairs all performed using original BMW Motorrad parts, and added Roadside Assistance while traveling in North America. Prices shouldn't vary much from the current MSRP of $6,750.
