Sons of Anarchy isn't your run-of-the-mill TV drama. It is an exclusive show that remains popular to date - a few years after its conclusion in 2014. One of the highest-rated TV shows on IMDb, Sons of Anarchy, is a crime drama that follows the lives of members of a close-knit outlaw biker gang.

The central character of the show is Jax, played by Charlie Hunnam. Initially, the vice president and later, the president of the motorcycle club, Jax's life turns upside down after discovering a manifesto written by his late father, John. What follows is a tale of love, hatred, betrayal, redemption, and more. But what makes the show stand out for us is the constant appearance of some really cool motorcycles. Super cool motorcycles are a recurring theme, naturally, because the show's plot revolves around a motorcycle gang.

While the public and critics review speak for themselves, Sons of Anarchy is show beyond great reviews. The extensive gallery of motorcycles makes the show a treat for automobile lovers.

Gear up, bikers! Here's what makes Sons of Anarchy the greatest motorcycle TV show of all time.

A Plot That Revolves Around Bikes and Bikers

"Sons of Anarchy" is a show that revolves around bikers, bikes, and an array of exciting incidents that keep viewers hooked. The machismo, charisma, and versatility of the twin-tire machines and their hunky riders helped the show become FX's highest-rated TV series at the time.

The show primely focuses on the character Jackson "Jax" Teller and SAMCRO (Sons of Anarchy Monarchy Club, Redwood Original). During the course of the story, members of the club have exciting encounters with politicians, rival gangs, and public authorities. "Jax", played by Charlie Hunnam, initially plays Vice President of SAMCRO, and subsequently becomes President of the club. The show is said to be based on the infamous biker club "Hells Angels Motorcycle Club", and several of their real members even made special appearances on the show.

Sons of Anarchy characters have been given exquisite and roaring looks to swipe viewers off their feet. They all ride hunky motorcycles, but each of them is shown to have customized their rides to match their own style. All bikes, however, are painted black and sport the club's Grim Reaper logo or the circled "A" club logo. Also, most of the motorbikes sport the charismatic T-bar style handlebars.

Countless bike encounters, witty action sequences, and Jax's character arc make this show a rollercoaster of torque, suspense, and thrill.

A Plethora Of Fuel Guzzling Two Wheelers

If you love hunky motorcycles, "Sons of Anarchy" is the kind of show you would love watching. The crime drama is all about exciting characters and a number of fuel-guzzling two-wheelers on show.

The central character, Jax, rides a sweet 2003 Harley Davidson Super Glide Sport. The bike is a monster with a sturdy 4 stroke V-twin engine. It boasts a 1449 displacement and a bore x stroke ratio of 95.3 x 101.6mm. The Harley comes with a fuel capacity of 4.9 gallons and torque of 78.2 ft-lbs. Charlie Hunnam (the actor who played Jax) has been riding since he was 11, and he had a gala time with this beast.

Piney has a very different ride to himself; he rides a trike modified to be able to hold an oxygen-tank (due to the character's health issues) between the wheels. His trike has a twin-cam 103 valve pushrod engine. It sports a reaper logo with a mask and an oxygen tank.

Clay rides a 2008 Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide. The bike boasts a twin-cam 96 Pushrod V-twin engine. The 4.8-gallon fuel capacity of the bike is a plus. The real eye-catchers, however, are the forward-facing cannon air filters and the thunder header exhaust.

Tig Trager is portrayed as the most violent member of the club and offers his loyalty to Clay in particular. To be fair, he is a bit of a pain but on the upside, he has the best one-liners. He rides a 2006 Harley-Davidson Dyna Street Bob. The 4-Stroke V-twin engine offers 1450cc displacement. The bike has 6-speed transmission like Piney’s. The feather in the hat is the SOA logo on the fuel tank of this Harley.

Chibs Telford serves as Vice President under Jax, and was initially a member of the Belfast charter, before joining SAMCRO. Chibs rides the same bike as Tig, but his modifications make the bike look and feel unique. The lack of a front fairing and matte black Z-bars give his bike a dynamic look, which is complemented by the Anarchy symbol on the tank.

"Sons of Anarchy" manages to surprise viewers all the time. While the variety of hunky bikes on display are sure to swipe you off your feet, the makers take it a step further and treat the audiences to a few cool cars as well.

The show's central character, Jax, occasionally drives a Dodge Ram 1500. The full-size pick-up truck is just as macho as his Harley. It is strong, sturdy, and fit enough to ace all forms of terrains.

Gemma Teller Morrow (Jax’s Mother) is seen driving a Cadillac XLR-V - a high-performance variant of the XLR and part of Cadillac's first-generation V-Series. In season 6, Gemma was even seen driving the Lincoln Navigator - a full-sized luxury SUV sold by the Lincoln brand of Ford Motors. The 5-door SUV comes with a front engine and a four-wheel drive.

Apart from being a gripping crime drama for neutrals, Sons of Anarchy is the ultimate benchmark for motorcycle TV shows. The water-tight script of the show has been weaved wonderfully with a plethora of stunning bikes and cars by the makers. And the result is the greatest motorcycle TV show of all time.
