Samuel Eto'o is one of the most recognizable African soccer stars in the world. He made his name playing for some of the biggest teams in the world, such as FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Chelsea.

Eto'o has been named the African Player of the Year a record four times, and the Cameroon international has won the Champions League three times. The professional soccer player spent his career as a forward, and helped his native Cameroon to win two African Cup of Nations trophies as well as an Olympic gold medal. You name it, and Samuel Eto'o has probably won it.

Soccer is a lucrative sport for those elite athletes who make it to the top, and some of the biggest stars in the world are known for their flashy car collections. Samuel Eto'o is no different, and he has a collection that befits his status as one of the game's greats.

Let's take a look at how soccer legend Samuel Eto'o hit the back of the net with his car collection.

When it comes to luxury cars, there aren't many that rank higher than the Rolls-Royce. If it's good enough for the Queen of England, it's good enough for a professional soccer player. At one stage of his career, Eto'o was earning $26 million per year, and he has an estimated net worth of $95 million.

With an original retail price of $358,000, the Rolls-Royce Wraith is the perfect car to turn up to team training in. The enormous road presence of the Wraith and effortless driving experience make this worth every penny.

Thanks to a turbocharged 6.6-liter V12 engine, the Wraith announced itself as the most powerful Rolls-Royce at the time of its release in 2013. Despite the power, the Wraith's biggest selling point is the luxurious interior that makes it feel like a five-star hotel on wheels.

Most Ferraris stand out from the crowd thanks to their elegant styling, but the 458 Italia Mansory Siracusa took things to the next level. The model that Samuel Eto'o drives comes in bright yellow and black, making it appear like a bee on steroids, but it's also available in red.

Although the base Ferrari 458 Italia is a classic, this model owned by Eto'o was given a body kit that made it even more distinctive. It may not be a classic among Ferrari enthusiasts, but the reduced weight thanks to the amounts of carbon fiber used makes it great fun to drive. The power output is given a significant boost thanks to the low weight, and it's a fitting car for the soccer star known for his speed on the field.

Maybach 57S Xenatec Coupe

Samuel Eto'o got his hands on the ultra-rare Xenatec-built Maybach 57S Coupe. Only a handful of the Maybachs were converted by the coachbuilder, which makes it very hard to find one.

Only 200 units were sold of the 5.9-liter V12-powered limousine that produced 603bhp. A recent auction saw a Maybach 57S Xenatec Coupe go up for sale with an asking price of $1,160,972.

As part of the transformation by Xenatec, the Maybach received new doors and side panels, plus special wheels that were accompanied by made-to-measure fenders. Production of these cars began in 2011 and it is one of the final standalone Maybachs to be produced by the German company before Mercedes-Benz acquired it.

The Aston Martin One-77 Is Also In Samuel Eto'o's Collection

When the Aston Martin One-77 was released in 2009 it sported a 7.3-liter V12, which was the most powerful naturally aspirated engine in the world. The One-77 was Aston Martin's hypercar, and it came with a price tag to rival the Bugatti Veyron.

There were only 77 of these Aston Martin's made, hence the name, and they came with a price tag of $1,595,947. It breaks the 200 mph barrier at the top end and is one of the most entertaining cars to ever hit the roads.

With plenty of wealth behind him, and a stint living in London while playing for Chelsea, Eto'o decided to join the gearhead elite of the UK with his One-77. Although it's unmistakably an Aston Martin at first glance, thanks to its low roofline it belongs among the supercars of the world.

From the other cars in his collection, it's clear to see that Samuel Eto'o loves both comfort and speed. However, most of his cars offer one of the others, but then there is the Bugatti Veyron. It's arguably the supercar of all supercars thanks to its amazing top speed of 252 mph.

Although your head might be pinned to the back of your seat at top speed, Veyron drivers can begin to appreciate the interior luxury while traveling at a more pedestrian pace. The amazing center console is made of a single sheet of aluminum. While looking around the cabin you'll notice that if something isn't made from carbon fiber it's probably luxurious leather.

Many drivers breaking the 200 mph barrier may wish to feel like they are in a race car but the Bugatti Veyron makes it seem like you're in your own private yacht. With all new Bugatti Veyrons sold out, anyone looking to get their hands on one will have to spend big. In 2020, a 2012 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport Coupe sold at auction at Bonhams for just over $2 million.
