Ford has been a staple when it comes to heavy-duty trucking. The F-Series have always put forth a very balanced layout of performance, practicality, and capabilities to woo consumers. The Super Duty Series with F-250 and F-350 have enjoyed added perks in the form of additional towing and loading capabilities, as well as add-on packages; making them the baddest of the trucking lot from Ford.

The Tremor Pack introduced in 2020 is one highlighted package that helps the already capable F-Series offerings to be more capable in off-roading. This package consists of hardware and aesthetic updates that allow you to take on demanding trails with no fear. And, because of the overwhelming response, Ford has also trickled this package down to its entry-level F-150 as well for 2021.

We give you an insight into the various hardware and aesthetic enhancements offered in the F-Series trucks with the off-road-centric Tremor Package.

The Tremor Package Was An Instant Hit After It's Launch in 2019 For The Super Duty Series

The Tremor package first launched in 2019 and was offered in the Ford Super Duty Series: F-250 and F-350. These trucks were already impressive in terms of towing and payload capabilities but the Tremor package also attained a knack for off-roading.

The changes were skin deep with tweaks and upgrades being done to the suspension and tires for these trucks to take the rough routes with ease. At the time, the RAM Power Wagon was more capable than the duo of Ford Super Duties. But the Tremor package gave it greater towing and payload capabilities than the RAM.

In 2021, Ford has also trickled down the Tremor treatment for the much-popular F-150 as well. This new treatment opens up a new lineage of consumers who love the simple F-150 but want capabilities closer to that of the Raptor. While the Tremor package may not be that evident in the bigger and brawnier Super Duty Series, the F-150 gets notable aesthetic tweaks to help it stand apart from the standard model. And it looks pretty badass with the unique hood design and distinctive grille with orange highlights. So, this Mini-Raptor is all the more capable now, but less intimidating.

Aesthetics shall vary for the F-150 and the Heavy Duty line-up of Ford trucks when it comes to being equipped with the tremor package, but all of them share a common goal of providing more capabilities and heightened off-roading prowess. In the case of the Heavy Duty Line-Up, you can equip the tremor package only with the 7.3L V8 or the 6.7L Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel. In the case of the F-150, it comes packed with the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 with 400 horses. So, performance is pretty much-taken care of here.

For heightened capabilities and off-roading confidence in the Heavy Duty Line-up, the tremor pack includes chunky 35-inch off-road tires wrapped around 18-inch blacked-out wheels. The suspension gets a chunky overhaul with adaptive front springs to raise the ride height at will. It also gets an electronic locking rear differential, front limited-slip differential, off-road-centric running boards, transfer case, and fuel tank skid plates. Technology is also heightened with Rock Crawl and Trail Control modes to tackle the demanding terrains. The front air dam duct is redesigned for increased approach angle and water fording vent tubes.

For the F-150 it gets a bit toned down, with 33-inch General Grabber all-terrain tires. The suspension is revamped to take on more beatings and gives it a higher ride height with increased travel, approach, breaker over, and departure angles. It also gets a rear locking differential as standard and an available front Torsen limited-slip differential. Technology is also at par with it to make full use of the hardware and includes features like Trail Control, Trial One-Pdela Drive, and Trail Turn Assist.
