Carrying forward the muscle bike legacy of Harley-Davidson, the new Livewire shall take over a sportier yet muscular look. The body of the bike shall be framed around a lightweight stiffer chassis with an adjustable Showa suspension. As per various reports, the bike's adjustable suspension is capable of leaning the bike up to 45 degrees so that the riders can adjust it as per their riding preference. The cumulative weight of the new Livewire shall be around 553 pounds, which is lighter than most sports bikes in the category, and hence shall be easier to handle.

Livewire will have a cast aluminum trellis frame chassis and a swingarm that will carry a permanent magnet motor at the lower position of the frame over two 17-inch wheels. The battery pack shall be stacked over the motor, and the entire weight will be supported by an upside-down fork suspension at the front and a mono-shock suspension at the rear. The front-wheel will be equipped with a Brembo twin-disc brake with monoblock calipers, whereas the rear shall only have a single disc.

The riding information will be provided to the rider through an LCD color screen on the instrument cluster part. But this screen will not be a mere replacement for analog gauges; rather, it will have infotainment features. The touch-controlled screen will show navigational information and shall also play music via Bluetooth connectivity. The next electronic aid on this bike is the seven different riding modes that the rider can select from, out of which three will be customizable as per the rider's preference.

The LED headlights will be accompanied by smart turn signals that will turn themselves off when the bike straightens up after a turn. As an EV, it will have Harley-Davidsons's 'Twist and Go' feature in which no clutch operation will be required to stop and start the bike. The stopping of the vehicle shall be powered by regenerative braking technology that will use the stopping energy to recharge the battery. Further, the charging process will have a rectifier that will convert the AC charge to DC with fast charging capability.

Offering further smarter access, the Livewire shall be equipped with H-D Connect service. Its cellular telematics connectivity is powered by Panasonic that will allow the rider to connect with the bike through the Harley-Davidson App. This feature will show the owner information like the bike's battery charge status, location on a map, and security alerts if the bike has been bumped, tampered with, or moved while the rider is away.
