Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera is one of the most famous brands in the history of Italian automotive design. They have given life to real masterpieces on four wheels, and their story is celebrated today in a model worthy of its heritage. On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of its founding, Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, the Italian design house and builder of bespoke cars and unique creations, each designed to customer specifications, has created a spectacular supercar: the Arese RH95.

This provocative vehicle bears all the hallmarks of Italian design and engineering which requires 5,000 hours to build. Before going into detail, we should mention that the name of this exotic vehicle takes the word Arese from the name of the town where Touring Superleggera is established. The initials are the customer’s initials and 95 in reference to the company’s anniversary year.

“This Arese RH95 is another milestone in the history of Touring, 95 years after its foundation” declares Salvatore Stranci, General Manager of Touring Superleggera. “Once again we demonstrate our ability to innovate, a practice renewed through the adoption of cutting-edge materials and construction techniques that are unusual for us.”

There was no doubt that it was going to be an aesthetic spectacle. And so it is. Now, we can finally see what the first mid-engine sports car from the Touring Superleggera will look like, with elements inspired by two of the Milanese company's ‘greatest hits' the Aero 3 and the Disco Volante. The design of the Touring Superleggera Arese RH95 is completely new and full of original ideas. At the front is where we find similarities with the Aero 3 with all the external elements made from carbon fiber. The alloy wheels are also dedicated specifically to this project.

Design With A Touch Of Drama

The novel scissor doors are its most striking expression of drama on the Arese RH95, while the rear hood, made of a single piece, opens against the wind, and integrates the air intake that feeds the engine. Touring Superleggera has completely rethought the aerodynamics with subtle yet fascinating details: the design of the rear-view mirror stands out along with the vertical exhausts, the diffuser, the closed silver section, and the LEDs of the headlights.

According to the carmaker, the Arese RH95 “expresses a touch of drama in all its features,” from the scissor doors to the bright aluminum side trim to the grille and front air nostril. Every flank and panel offers a visual delicacy.

The Arese RH95 carbon fiber body was manufactured, taking into account the thickness and orientation of each element to improve the weight-to-rigidity ratio. As for its design, which is the specialty of this firm responsible for authentic aesthetic marvels, “Arese RH95 reflects the stylistic features of the entire AERO line in its many distinctive elements, and the cinematic openings of the exterior panels add theatricality to a car that is art and design in motion,” says Louis de Fabribeckers, director of the Touring Style Centre.

The scissor doors of the Arese RH95 accompany the hood and the cover of the engine bay, and rise at a very peculiar angle. Another of the newest elements is the dorsal air intake that feeds the V8.

In addition to all this, this Arese RH95 is presented with a sophisticated interior that, while maintaining certain details reminiscent of the Ferrari supercar, has been conveniently refined with new upholstery in different shades of brown -with different combinations for the driver’s seat and the co-pilot- belts, contrasting details and yellow stitching that accompany inserts in carbon fiber. All this is chaired by a steering wheel where a new logo of the Arese RH95 appears.

The V8 engine on the Touring Superleggera develops 720 horsepower at 8,000 RPM. And it boasts 568 pound-feet of torque at 3,250 RPM. Figures that are the same as those of the Ferrari F8 Tributo, as many have already detected. This power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, as on that model. Its top speed is 211 mph, and it accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds. Following the philosophy of making unique cars, the first vehicle in the series is painted green, followed by one in red and white, and one in Gulf Oil’s blue and orange.
