Established in 1960 by the Grams family, the Volo Auto Museum in Volo, Illinois is home to hundreds of the most exciting collector cars for sale. Jay Grams has personally hand-picked these vehicles from around the country to ensure that only the highest quality cars hit the showroom.

The latest beauty to grace the floor, Jay says, will appeal to even the “fussiest customers.” It’s an incredible 1972 Chevrolet Nova with a big-block engine, dual quads, 3.50 posi traction, five-speed transmission, upgraded suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and much more! This car is absolutely mint with no rust, all-original metal, a slick paint job, and low miles. What more could you ask for?

This Classic 1972 Chevy Nova Is All Show, And All Go Too

This 1972 Chevy Nova was always a Western car and lived most of its life in Arizona, until recently. As Jay circles the car, he notes that he doesn’t see any flaws – no cracks or bubbles in the paint, and all the body panels are laser straight. The bright red paint looks highly polished like glass, and you can even see the reflection of the ground in it like a mirror finish thanks to a recent $1,000 ceramic coating job. All the emblems, bezels, side moldings, door handles, bumpers, and grille look good as new. One thing to note is that, while the car does come with its original 396 emblems, new 502 emblems are now attached.

This is a nice, clean survivor car to start with, and it’s got 63,000 actual miles on the odometer. It rides on custom-made 17-inch steel wheels powder-coated to match the candy red exterior paint wrapped in BFGoodrich G-Force rubber. Sale of the car includes a folder of receipts, original literature, and a Protect-O-Plate. Jay took it for a test drive and knew that nothing would be wrong with the car, and he was right. The tires didn't rub the fenders, the clutch didn't chatter, and the steering was incredibly smooth and straight. The buyer of this classic will certainly be getting a car with no bugs!

Under the hood, this Chevy Nova is a true stunner and highly detailed. It has a 396 motor bored to a 402 with two big Edelbrock 500 CFM carbs on top and an MSD ignition system. It’s got all new balanced internals and a roller COMP camshaft.

The car also recently received a new alternator, battery, power steering pump, and upgraded custom radiator, along with a Vintage Air system. The engine bay is further dressed up with finned aluminum valve covers and a dual snorkel air cleaner.

Jay takes us on a tour of the interior, which is just as mint as the outside of the vehicle. He shows us that each of the door panels is in excellent condition and the lenses are clear with shiny chrome outlines. It’s even got a retro stereo and working overhead light.

This Nova boasts low miles and so the dash area is immaculate. It has new Vintage Air climate controls, new carpeting and matching embroidered floor mats, new correct upholstery and rear speaker shelf. Other additions include new in-dash tachometer, aftermarket oil/temp gauges, a Hurst shifter, and a Flaming River tilt column with a deluxe steering wheel.

As he continues with the inspection, Jay points out that the slick red paint continues right under the trunk lid and the jams. The trunk compartment is perfectly clean and complete with solid metal and no signs of rust whatsoever. It’s got a jack and spare assembly, as well as a new mat and side inserts.

Each part of this car opens and closes like a new vehicle. It’s safe to assume that the new buyer of this 1972 Chevrolet Nova will be incredibly happy with the condition of this classic.
