It is probably fair to say that the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE has been something of a recluse since its announcement a few years ago. It's also fair to say that it's clearly a highly-anticipated car, with deliveries finally set to start this year. The F1-inspired hypercars are  still undergoing testing as it reaches the delivery stage, and some spy footage from CarSpyMedia on YouTube captures the Mercedes hypercars being thrown around the legendary Nurburgring on one of its most recent tests.

The Video Reveals The Unique Sound Of The Project-ONE

The Nurburgring is a regular proving ground for manufacturers, so it's no surprise that the car has been thrown around the track a few times. In the crisp spring sunshine, and wrapped in its camouflage, the video catches the car at a variety of locations of the track both cruising and being put through its paces a little bit more. Possibly the most interesting thing for us viewers is the sound that it produces. A few turbo spools and wheezes can be heard, remember this basically has the engine from the Mercedes 2016 Formula 1 car.

The single exhaust outlet in the middle of the rear of the car is typical of Formula 1 practice as well, even if the current generation of cars also have two turbo wastegate outlets. It's good to see some more footage of the Project-ONE out and about, and it makes a change to see it being thrown around a bit too and not just cruising at a sedate pace. We await the deliveries of this car with much anticipation.
