Earlier this month, Honda announced the return of its four-wheel powersports vehicles for the 2021 model year. Among these powersports vehicles is the 2021 Honda FourTrax Rincon, which is considered the top rung of the company’s proven FourTrax multipurpose all-terrain vehicle lineup. Let’s take a closer look at the latest iteration of the FourTrax Rincon.

Honda’s FourTrax multipurpose ATV lineup for 2021 seems formidable. It includes the mainstay FourTrax Rancher, the do-it-all FourTrax Foreman 4x4, the ever-reliable FourTrax Foreman Rubicon and the won’t-quit line-topper FourTrax Rincon. These ATVs complement Honda’s Pioneer 1000 and 700 multipurpose side-by-side models.

In the FourTrax lineup, the Rincon holds the distinction of being Honda’s largest-displacement ATV, thanks to its liquid-cooled 675cc single-cylinder power plant. The Rincon’s overhead-valve, semi-dry-sump design allows for a more compact engine. Thanks to this, the engine has a lower center of gravity -- which results in better handling – as well as greater ground clearance. The engine’s crankshaft is aligned with the ATV’s direction of travel to allow for more direct connection with the rear axle.

Power is sent to the rear axle via an automatic transmission with hydraulic torque converter. Its automotive style transmission has three forward gears, Reverse and electronic controls. Since it features no belts to slip or clutches that would wear out, the Rincon offers a smooth ride and years of trouble-free service.

Fourtrax Rincon riders can easily choose between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive through TraxLok. For lighter steering on flat ground, a rider may opt for the two-wheel drive configuration. But when traction needs to be maximized, four-wheel drive is the ideal choice.

Furthering the capability of the 2021 Honda FourTrax Rincon is its Independent Rear Suspension (IRS). This premium long-travel suspension results in class-leading comfort even when the ATV tackles rough terrain. Likewise, Rincon’s IRS helps ensure that the tires are in constant contact with the ground, resulting in superior traction.
