Over 25 years ago, Mercedes-Benz produced the first Sprinter, a van that has also been sold in the past under the Dodge, Freightliner, and Volkswagen nameplates. It's one of the most popular vans in the world and Polish coachbuilder Kegger wanted to celebrate that anniversary. So they have taken their specialty of creating tow trucks, and created the Petronas Edition Sprinter tow truck, finished in the colors of the Mercedes Formula 1 team from the start of 2020 before they adopted their all-black livery.

Kegger Honors The Sprinter's 25th Anniversary

Given that it is marking 25 years since the first Sprinter, Kegger has decided to make this a limited run of aptly just 25 of these powerful tow trucks. The truck itself is to be powered by the 319 CDI 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine powering the Sprinter Petronas with 190 hp, and that power will be driven to the rear wheels thanks to a seven-speed automatic gearbox. And judging by the colors, the racing theme seems to be a predominant one on the truck.

Plenty Of Revisions To Set This Tow-Truck Apart From The Rest

There are plenty of changes and revisions to make this a much more aggressive-looking tow truck. The front end sees a new bumper with some aggressive air intakes, and perhaps the most outlandish spoiler you can see on a road-legal and fully functioning pickup truck. A black radiator grille, 18-inch black aluminum rims, and angular tailpipes at the rear make this one hell of an aggressive and sporty-looking tower. And don’t forget that Mercedes F1 paint job, with the numbers of driver #77 Valtteri Bottas on the side, and even the team's biggest sponsors, Ineos and Petronas, featured.

Inside The Petronas Edition Is A Spacious And Comfortable Cabin

Step inside the truck and you might be shocked to see a cabin that looks incredibly comfortable. There's plenty of Alcantara leather with Petronas green stitching along with the seats, dashboard, and door panels, and headliner. But to ensure that this Petronas edition can still be utilized comfortably as a tow truck, there is a fixed bed included that makes this truck every bit as suitable for long-distance driving as many other towers. In fact, this might be even more comfortable than those!
