The 2008 Hummer H3 bears an unconventional 3.7-liter inline-five engine under the hood, which was an upgraded version of the same engine in previous model years with lower capacity. It puts out nearly similar figures of 239 HP and 241 lb-ft of torque.

Off-Roading Expertise: Both Of These Brutish Cars Give You All That's Needed

Yes, it would be more engaging if there was a winner to this one. However, both the Jeep Wrangler and the Hummer H3 offer excellent off-road performances, and you barely need serious modifications to survive your grueling trip to nowhere.

The Hummer H3 can add a lot to the adventurous side of your journey with its full-time four-wheel-drive system and 32-inch Goodyear all-terrain tires. What's more, it offers a unique off-road suspension package, including a more rigid suspension, upgraded 33-inch off-road tires, and a locking rear differential that makes the toughest terrains feel smoother and less bumpy.

Contrary to the Hummer H3 that isn't a big fan of multiple packages, the Wrangler finds fun in confusing customers with heaps of models and packages. If a 2007 Wrangler is what you're longing for, you need to settle on whether a regular two-door or a four-door Unlimited body style.

Whichever you pick, you get a bare-bones car, and it's not a matter of compromise; you need to spend some more hundred bucks on different packages in order to have the necessities.
