Sports cars and SUVs may be the usual vehicles you see parked in the driveways of Beverly Hills mansions, but that doesn’t mean that Hollywood stars aren’t allowed to drive anything else. Some prefer to drive smaller, environmentally-friendly cars, while others have a passion for vintage models. And then there are plenty of celebrities who love to feel the wind in their hair as they drive around the Hollywood Hills on a motorcycle.

There is no need to consider motorcycles as a poor second to expensive supercars, either. Not only can motorbikes be modified just as easily as cars—including custom paint jobs to change the way that they look—but many of the best two-wheelers can be just as fast, if not faster, than sports cars. The fastest production car in the world is the Hennessey Venom F5, with a top speed of 301 miles per hour, while the fastest motorcycle is the Kawasaki Ninja H2R, which can travel at over 249 miles per hour.

Motorcycles can be just as expensive as the exclusive supercars owned by celebrities. The Bugatti Veyron roadster is one of the most popular high-priced cars, with the least expensive model setting you back $1.7 million. The most expensive brand new motorcycles will cost around $500,000 but if you have your heart set on a custom model or a rare vintage bike, then be prepared to spend millions, rather than thousands, of dollars.

25 Matt LeBlanc

Friends star Matt LeBlanc has now taken over presenting duties on BBC motoring show Top Gear, which shows that his automotive credentials are impeccable. As well as having an impressive collection of cars, including a couple of Ferraris, some classic Porsches, and a 1973 De Tomaso Pantera sports car, LeBlanc is also a big fan of motorcycles. In fact, his presence on Top Gear has allowed the show’s makers to introduce motorcycle features, which were also missing previously, as none of the previous presenters were comfortable driving on two wheels. In fact, when he was a kid, he wanted to be a motorcycle racer and had to settle for being a successful actor instead.

24 Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus may have made her name as the wholesome Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel, but as she has got older, she has become more famous for her rebellious antics than her acting career. And that's not to mention her outrageous performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2013, which involved twerking and an unfortunately positioned foam finger. Cyrus has also embraced the celebrity lifestyle of lavish parties and high spending. The young singer has even been pictured driving around Los Angeles on a motorcycle that was a 2013 present from dad Billy Ray Cyrus for her 21^st birthday.

23 Justin Timberlake

Singer-turned-actor Justin Timberlake is the proud owner of a very impressive car collection, which includes a Hummer H3, a sporty Jeep Wrangler, a luxury Lexus RX 350, and a stylish and sophisticated 1960 Pontiac GTO, the vehicle which is thought to be the first muscle car. The Pontiac is far from the only vintage vehicle in the former N*SYNC singer’s garage, however, as he also owns a retro Harley Davidson motorcycle, which has been restored and customized. Timberlake was snapped by the paparazzi while riding the impressive machine in 2009, as he left the exclusive Café Med restaurant in West Hollywood.

22 Pamela Anderson

After her stint on Baywatch ended, actress and model Pamela Anderson reinvented herself as something of a rock chick, marrying genuine rock god and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, getting herself a few tattoos, and getting around on a motorbike. One of Anderson’s first major movie roles, in action film Barb Wire, involved the star driving around on an 885cc Triumph Thunderbird motorcycle. She has certainly played up to her new image, posing for photographs on various vintage motorbikes, and even performing a burlesque dance involving a bike in front of a 500-strong crowd at Le Crazy Horse theater in Paris.

21 Jared Leto

Actor and musician Jared Leto is another Hollywood celebrity who chooses to get around Los Angeles on two wheels rather than four. Having started his career on the critically-acclaimed TV series My So-Called Life, Leto took a break from acting to front successful rock group 30 Seconds From Mars, and has only recently made a return to the big screen with appearances in Blade Runner 2049 and Dallas Buyers Club for which he won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in 2013. Leto’s bike of choice is a Ducati and he even took his favorite models on tour with him.

20 Ewan McGregor

Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor is no ordinary motorcycle rider. As well as riding his favorite bikes around his native Scotland, he and his good friend, Charley Boorman, also made a TV show documenting their 19,000-mile motorcycle journey from London to New York. The actor has a collection of dozens of motorbikes, including several vintage models, like a 1956 Sunbeam S7, an Indian Larry chopper, and a 1972 Moto Guzzi V7 Sport, which are split between garages in the Scottish Highlands and his home in Los Angeles. McGregor loves to ride, but often has to take a break as the insurance policies taken out by production companies don’t allow him to be so reckless!

19 Cher

Singer and Oscar-winning actress Cher has enjoyed a long career in Hollywood, much longer than people expect when you see how good she still looks today! She started out in the singing duo, Sonny and Cher, with her then-husband in the mid-1960s and made her most recent appearance on the big screen in Mamma Mia 2 in 2018 at the age of 72. Cher has been a Hollywood style icon throughout her career, including the classic Harley Davidson motorcycle that she used to ride. In the 1990s, the Moonstruck star was pictured riding her hog in a Christmas parade down Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles.

18 Orlando Bloom

There are some celebrities who we can imagine would be right at home on a motorcycle but Orlando Bloom probably isn’t one of them! He may have starred as a swashbuckling adventurer in Pirates of the Caribbean and a fearsome elf warrior in Lord of the Rings but he looks too mild-mannered in real life to ride a bike. The truth is that not only does Bloom love to drive superfast cars but he also likes to ride his motorcycles around Los Angeles. The actor is apparently a big fan of BMW bikes, including a customized BMW S 1000 R and a few vintage models.

17 Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper has always enjoyed riding motorcycles and always has a couple of different models in his garage at any one time. He has owned expensive models like a KTM Superbike, as well as a number of customized vintage bikes, and is regularly snapped by the paparazzi driving around Hollywood, usually with his current girlfriend riding on the back. Cooper even made sure motorcycles had a starring role in his most recent film, a remake of A Star is Born, co-starring Lady Gaga. His character, Jackson Maine, rides a Harley-Davidson bike, which features prominently in many of the key scenes in the movie.

16 Ann-Margret

The 1960s starlet Ann-Margret is another unlikely motorcycle fan but at the height of her fame, the Swedish actress was often seen riding her bike around Los Angeles. Also known as a singer and dancer, Ann-Margret starred in many of the most iconic films of the 60s and 70s, including Tommy, Bye Bye Birdie, and Viva Las Vegas with Elvis, with whom she was romantically linked. Directors often used Ann-Margret’s riding abilities in her films, which means that she can be seen riding motorcycles in many of her movies. The actress may now be in her 70s but she is still a fan of motorbikes and still rides her customized Harley-Davidson today.

15 Keanu Reeves

Matrix actor Keanu Reeves doesn’t just enjoy riding motorcycles; he even owns his own motorcycle shop, where he and his partner create custom-built models for their clients. Reeves co-founded Arch Motorcycle with renowned bike designer Gard Hollinger in 2007 and the duo has gone on to create dozens of high-end custom bikes for their Hollywood customers. Prices for the bespoke motorbikes start at around $80,000 and Reeves himself loves to drive his own creation, the stylish KRGT-1 chopper. He has also owned a canary-yellow 1971 Norton Commando, as well as a couple of Harley-Davidsons and Suzuki sports bikes.

14 Harrison Ford

Despite getting on in years, the Star Wars actor is still a fan of riding his motorbike. After starring in the original trilogy in the 1970s and 80s, Ford even made a comeback in the new Star Wars film, The Force Awakens, when it was released in 2015—at the ripe old age of 73. In fact, he doesn’t just ride motorcycles when he feels the need for speed but also flies one of the planes in his collection. As far as bikes go, Ford always has about eight or nine at a time, and currently owns several BMW motorbikes, a couple of Harley-Davidsons, and a vintage Triumph.

13 Adrien Brody

Adrien Brody won an Oscar for his performance in The Pianist in 2002 and has gone on to star in several of the quirky films made by director Wes Anderson. Brody may not get so many leading roles these days but he is still one of Hollywood’s most successful performers and a big fan of motorcycles, to boot. He is particularly a fan of bikes made by Ducati, who make some of the most stylish motorcycles on the market. The Hollywood star nearly didn’t make it to the big time, however, as he was involved in a serious motorcycle crash in 1992 which put him off riding for several years.

12 Justin Theroux

Most famous for his role in the critically-acclaimed TV series The Leftovers, on HBO, Justin Theroux has also written several movies, including Tropic Thunder, and starred in the David Lynch films Mulholland Drive and Inland Empire. He is also well-known for being the former Mr. Jennifer Aniston, though the couple separated in 2017. Luckily, Theroux had his gorgeous collection of motorcycles to help get him over his heartbreak, including a BMW sports bike and, of course, a classic Harley-Davidson. The actor goes the whole hog when he goes out for a spin, complete with biker boots and leather jackets.

11 Clint Eastwood

Even at the age of 88, Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood is still making movies, with his latest film, The Mule, hitting cinema screens in 2019. The actor, who made his name starring in TV and cinema westerns in the 1960s has also started making his own movies and has won two Best Director Oscars for Million Dollar Baby and Unforgiven. Eastwood has been a fan of motorbikes throughout his career and even though he may not go out for as many rides as he used to, he was a real fan of classic bikes in the 1960s and 1970s, owning a Norton Ranger and appearing on various Triumph models in some of his movies.

10 Gal Gadot

Israeli actress and model Gal Gadot isn’t just tough on-screen, in her role as Wonder Woman and as Gisele Yashar in the Fast and Furious franchise, she is also pretty tough in real life. Not only is she a big fan of riding motorbikes but she also spent two years in the Israeli Army, where she was a combat instructor. Gadot was a fan of motorbikes, particularly models made by Ducati, long before she starred in the sixth Fast and Furious installment, but in that film, she got to ride a Ducati on-screen and was given lots of tips by experts on how to handle her own Ducati Monster-S2R.

9 Russell Crowe

Born in New Zealand but brought up in Australia, Russell Crowe rose to international prominence playing General Maximus Decimus Meridius in the 2000 film Gladiator, for which he received an Oscar for Best Actor in 2000. Crowe has been seen riding a motorcycle in many of his movies, including the less-than-successful film A Good Year. He also created his own “Museum of Interesting Things” at Nymboida, in New South Wales, which features some of the classic models from his bike collection, as well as movie props, which he went on to sell in 2018 when he and wife Danielle Spencer divorced.

8 Gerard Butler

After a few bit parts in movies, Scottish actor Gerard Butler got his big break in the lead role of the fantasy war film 300. He went on to star in a few romantic comedies and a couple more action movies but has never quite reached the heights of “This is Sparta” ever again. Butler has been a keen motorbike rider for years but in 2017 he was involved in a serious accident which sent him flying through the air after his bike collided with a car. Luckily, he only suffered a broken foot and a few cuts and bruises, and the incident has apparently not put him off motorbikes completely

7 Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt is probably as famous for his colorful love life as he is for his movie appearances, even though he has starred in successful films such as Twelve Monkeys, Fight Club, and Moneyball, for which he received his third Oscar nomination. Infamous for being part of Hollywood’s two biggest couples, with Jennifer Aniston and then Angelina Jolie, Pitt is also a renowned motorcycle enthusiast, owning a powerful BMW sports bike, a vintage Triumph Bonneville, a Royal Enfield Bullet and a fearsome Ducati Desmosedici RR. The actor is regularly spotted riding around Los Angeles and used to take ex-wife Jolie on rides with him too.

6 George Clooney

George Clooney has always been a keen biker but in recent years, since he settled down with wife Amal, a famous human rights lawyer, he hasn’t been so keen on riding his two-wheeled machines. The actor, who first made his name in medical drama ER, was injured in a motorcycle accident while filming in Italy in 2018 when he was knocked off his bike by a car and had to go to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Clooney then auctioned off one of his beloved bikes later in the year, an autographed Harley-Davidson, sparking rumors that Amal had banned him from riding on two wheels.
