Many of us can only dream of having a luxury car or luxury van. Prices for vehicles in these segments are often quite high indeed, and for good reason. The level of luxury these vehicles offer is sometimes unrivaled, and what is perhaps more impressive is how people can achieve these levels of luxury with custom-builds. You see, a lot of people love to take a van or vehicle of a similar size, and turn it into their own luxury heaven.t

That is exactly what Jennie & James have done with their Ram Promaster. The Promaster is quite a large van from Ram that doesn’t exactly scream luxury. But this couple has taken that van and turned it into a level of luxury that many residents in large metropolitan cities could only dream of. Sitting space is one of the key concepts with this vehicle, and the couple has posted a video on their YouTube channel showcasing the build in great detail, and it certainly makes us very jealous. So many of us would love to have a vehicle that oozes this level of luxury.

The couple take us straight to the back of the build, to showcase what they call the good stuff. Jennie and James are lovers of the U-shape lounge and for their Promaster, they have done quite a big one. It easily sits 4-5 people and as a picture testifies too, you can get about 6 or 7 people in this space, although it’s a bit snug! The brown upholstery fabric looks fantastic, and Jennie did a lot of the work on the couches herself. What is very cool is how they convert to a bed, the table can move out the way, and you can let a lot of natural light in.

The pair have added a second bed into the Promaster, with a second bed that can be electrically lowered down from above the main one, perfect if you have friends round and want to sleep four people. USB charging for those in the top bunk as well as some lighting is also available. The bathroom area is a bit more utilitarian than the bedroom area though, with the toilet and shower basin hiding below a spacious countertop for the kitchen, while the shower curtain will need adding and removing prior to and after use.

Making Good Use Of The Space You Have

The dual kitchen/shower space certainly makes great use of the space that the couple have in the Promaster. A tank below the van collects the water from above, so it can then be easily drained in an appropriate place. The walls have a fantastic textured look, complimented with some nice arch inserts. Jennie says she was also inspired by the Japandi Design interior designs, hence some wooden tones and more neutral tones like the cabinets.

The kitchen itself features a generously sized sink, with a single burner next to it for cooking. That is in fact powered by an inverter which also powers the heating system and some of the lights in the van as well. Some neatly designed inserts in the walls hold soap dispensers and soap jars, while the cabinets are all on latches, so they do not slide out while they are out driving. No kitchen would be complete without a fridge and freezer, and the couple have added a fridge/freezer unit of 85-liters or 3 cubic-feet below their burner. That they say is super-efficient for them.

A Level Of Luxury We Can Only Dream Of

There are plenty of cabinets inside the Promaster that allows for lots of storage space, as well as one that features an outlet and a water pump switch. The cabinets though are very spacious, and plenty of big windows help open the space up in the Promaster and make the whole cabin feel so much more homely. There are two extra seats up front too, that allow for more people to ride in the van. The great list of features carry on with the exterior of the camper, with the back featuring a bit of a garage area with the middle featuring a draw space for big item storage.

Solar Panels Help To Keep The Van Efficient

It is perhaps the roof of the van that is the most impressive part of the whole things. There are solar panels above that help to power the Promaster, but on top is also a roof rack, accessible via a ladder on the side of the van. There is a deck on top of the van that allows the couple and friends to enjoy the sunset and the views of where they are. The solar panels are visibly attached to some crossbars on the top, and they did not need to drill holes into the Promaster. All in all, this is one very impressive project.
