When it comes to many car enthusiasts, the definitive battle between domestic and import, generally JDM is a major topic. In the import world, some cars such as the Nissan Silvia have become drifting icons while others have become all-around high-performance vehicles. However, when car cultures collide, sometimes they make something truly mad and amazing.

Monster Power

Captured in a photo album by Jordan Leist Photography, this ridiculous swapped Nissan Silvia S13 has been fitted with a massive LS engine with an even more massive blower kit. Reminiscent of Snot Rod from the movie Cars, the blower sits high enough above the hood of the car that it takes up a major part of the front visibility. The massive supercharger setup looks nearly the same size as the factory KA24DE motor fitted originally in the Silvia.

Attitude Adjustment

To quote the original post, "The Blown LS provides more than enough attitude and power for this 90s baby." While the factory motor only made 155 horsepower, it's safe to assume the new LS in it is closer to the 700 horsepower range at the least. The car's front end sits slightly lower than it probably should, but only because in drag setup it arches back hard enough to balance itself out.

Drivability

While the front brakes are still fairly small, they should do enough while at low speed to keep the car stable. The car sits a fair bit lower to the ground than many modified S13 chassis cars, but this is to make up for the front end having quite a bit more weight to bear. The car has one large exhaust outlet in the rear, similar to how many tuner and JDM cars are. Additionally, the car's tires are a good bit wider than the factory setup, even with such narrow rubber to fit the 19 inch wheels.

Performance

Like many S13 Silvias, the car is set up to handle and even drift when given the chance. The toe in on the front wheels helps to increase the in-corner handling up front. While the front end grips in, the massively blown LS makes more than enough power to slide the rear of the car wherever the driver could ever imagine. Overall, the build of this car is more than just well-done. It encompasses a full combination of JDM styling and intention with American hot rodding.
