On Instagram, @a.c.g_design created a reimagined vision of what a modern Chevrolet Stingray could look like in 2023.

From the early 1960s until the early 1980s the Chevrolet Corvette retained its curvaceous, smooth, and wavy exterior lines - this unmistakable shape remained the norm until the mid-1980s brought the flatter body design.

However you might prefer your retro ‘Vette though; the ’60s-’70s body design is iconic - plus, there's absolutely no denying just how beautiful a Corvette is, no matter the generation.

With the 2023 Corvette looking more like a futuristic supercar influenced by the international market’s trends, it’s a breath of fresh air to see an updated version of the classic exterior.

The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Is Reborn For 2023

Although most of the differences and additions are subtle at first, there are enough added touches to make this a truly unique vehicle.

Looking between the two images, the first thing that you’ll notice is the addition of a modern race-inspired rear wing.

The chosen height is perfect due to its added aerodynamics while retaining street practicality; day-to-day driving with a rear wing that’s too high might become more of a nuisance.

The rest of the differences we’ll examine with the same comparisons between modern and retro times.

While remaining at the back of the Stingray, we can see an added rear diffuser. Once again we see modern aerodynamics at work.

Although the original rear chrome bumper is now removed, the new backside is a nod to the 80s Corvette styling.

In the center of the rear diffuser, the dual exhaust tips are now repositioned- it would be safe to theorize that this would improve airflow and performance while adding a modern stylized touch.

The iconic taillights remain and are now blacked out, symbolizing the popular modern era trend of stealth-inspired aesthetics and all four classic wheels are now replaced with larger 10-spoke wheels.

The driver and passenger windows are now extended to provide more visibility and an updated design and finally, the front fender grills now have modern air ducts to complete the stealth look.

In conclusion, what we have here is a vintage Chevrolet Stingray from a past era that’s outfitted with modern accouterments.

These changes not only add the benefits of modern technology and drivability, but they also revolutionize the Stingray’s aesthetics with subtleness; the result is a render that stays true to the Chevy Stingray’s iconic heritage from the 60s and 70s.
