Now that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has closed its book on Tony Stark and Robert Downey Jr., what's next for our favorite superhero? It's too early for a reboot, the sacrifice he made is still fresh in everyone's minds. However great the new Tony Stark is going to be it will be a bitter pill to swallow for Iron Man fans. While we wait for the next big thing that MCU has in store for us, let's play a little game. We'll show you incredible cars and you guess if Tony Stark owns it, or if it's one of Robert Downey Jr.'s.
10 Nissan GT-R
We'll show a picture of the car and Robert Downey Jr. together if it doesn't give away the answer. But if the man doesn't have that trademark beard then your clue is just the car. The Nissan GT-R is a high-performance Japan-made sports car, and is a real beauty (the 2020 model is at least $113,000).
It has a 3.8-liter DOHC 24-valve twin-turbocharged V6 engine and comes in five different models. That's just chump change for Tony Stark, wait, it also is for Robert Downey Jr. So whose car do you think this is?
This first one is Robert's.
9 2008 AUDI R8
Did you get the first one correct? If not, this next one's pretty easy. From the very beginning, we found out that Tony's favorite car is the Audi. He drove an Audi R8 right next to his private jet, probably on a private airstrip, with an impatient Rhodey waiting at the door of the plane in the first Iron Man film way back in 2008. The problem with this one is that Robert Downey Jr. is also fond of Audis. We saw him a lot of times attend events and premiere showings coming out of an Audi vehicle.
8 Bentley Continental GT
Let's hope you're 2-0 at this point, this next one is a gimme. The third car is a British car called the Continental GT. It's manufactured by Bentley and is a pretty big car. The Bentley Continental GT has a 6.0 liter, twin-turbocharged W12 engine and has the most advanced system out of all Bentley cars. The interior of this car is just perfect, we imagine Tony Stark or Robert Downey Jr. taking it easy while cruising around Malibu or Hollywood. Was there a time in any of those Avengers or Iron Man movies where Tony drove a Bentley?
This is Robert's!
7 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
This next ride is one of the best. The Bugatti Veyron can cost Tony or Robert at least $1.7 million, but this car that we saw in their garage was not just a Bugatti Veyron. It was a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. And if we're not mistaken, the color is black and hot orange.
We're not going to bother with the specs anymore, everyone knows it's awesome! Here's a clue, we have never seen either man drive this car in real life or in the movies. This car appeared in the man's garage in the first Iron Man.
Yes, it's Tony's.
6 2009 Audi R8 Spyder
We're not going to lie, you probably won't get this next one right. Firstly, it's an Audi. Secondly, the answer is tricky. The 2009 Audi R8 Spyder was definitely used by Tony Stark in Iron Man 2. That's when he collected his father's presentation and put it in the car. But here in this picture, if we look closely, we see Robert Downey Jr. in what appears to be a premiere or an event that looks to be real and not in a movie.
The answer is both: Tony has a white one and Audi gave Robert a red one. Sweet!
5 1967 Corvette Stingray Convertible
The way this car looks with Robert Downey Jr. or Tony Stark behind the wheel is a perfect fit. It could go either way. The Corvette is one of the most famous cars manufactured by American car company Chevrolet. With the traditional front-engine set-up, the Corvette also goes by nicknames Chevy Corvette or 'Vette.
The man owns a black one and it's a 1967 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Do you remember seeing Tony Stark driving one of these? How about Robert? Yeah, this one is a tough one. We'd show you pictures but the lack of beard on Tony's face gives it away.
This one's Robert's.
4 Shelby Cobra
This car is another convertible just like the Corvette Stingray, and its engine is also set up in the front. The Shelby Cobra Roadster is an American classic. First seen in 1962, it's been the most wished-for car of every man in the country ever since.
Some of these men get what they want, some keep dreaming. But not Robert Downey Jr., or is it Tony Stark. They take what they want and never wish for it. This car was seen in the man's garage and unfortunately, it was accidentally damaged.
Yes, this was Tony's and he landed on it while testing his Iron Man suit. Bummer!
3 Ferrari California T
What millionaire doesn't have a Ferrari in their huge garage? This car could be Tony's or Robert's, heck, they could even each own one. The Ferrari California T is a sweet ride of elegance, a real chick magnet (like both men ever needed any help in that department) and is a monster under the hood, with a turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 engine. The man has a handsome blue one and is often seen with it.
Yes, this Ferrari California T is Robert Downey Jr.'s. Our Avenger Tony Stark is too much of an Audi guy to be seen driving a Ferrari.
2 Audi R8 e-Tron
The red Audi R8 e-Tron is another Audi car that's owned by either Tony Stark or Robert Downey Jr. This should be easy now that we are close to the endgame. Audis have a special place in Tony's heart (with or without an arc reactor on it) and your money is good betting on Tony this time. This particular model is an electric car and it's as handsome as any other Audi the man owned, plus the red color gives it some additional points. We see a glimpse of it as Tony takes a last look at his demolished Malibu residence at the end of Iron Man 3.
This was Tony Stark's car.
1 2014 Audi R8 Convertible
Tony Stark and Robert Downey Jr. go head-to-head in a garage showdown and here we are in the endgame. How did you do, by the way? This last car is not an easy one to guess but we'll give some hints. The 2014 Audi R8 convertible was given to Robert after it was used by Tony in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Age of Ultron (where it was self-driving).
Yes, we have another car that's owned by both men. So how did you do? Well, at least you can name all six Infinity Stones, right? Okay... let's just stick to cars then.
