Over here at HotCars, we love a good barn find. There is something so cool about finding a car that has been stuck in a barn virtually all its life, and then comes out to see the sun again and hopefully be restored. And we think this JDM might be one of the very best barns finds out there. This is a Datsun 280z, and it's possibly the rarest one as well, as there are only 350 original miles on it!

The Datsun 280z

The owner spent some time replacing and adding enhancements to the car. When he bought it, the front fender had a dent and he wanted to replace it. So as he was in that process, he decided to start doing other things to the car as well. And then he sadly ran into some money issues, and the car had to take a bit of a break from being worked on. And that is why it has just 350 miles on the clock.

There have been some great Datsun survivors over the years, but this is perhaps the best one of them all. The Datsun is a 1976 model year edition, and despite the grubby exterior, it's still crazy clean on the inside. There are covers on the seats and there are even original dealer tags inside as well! The doors had not been open for so long, retaining that new car smell. The thick layer of dust and dirt actually did a great job of protecting the original paintwork of the car.

The engine had paper tags and factory markings all over it, and even the original fan belt with its part number as well. All of the tags inside are perfectly preserved and have not faded away in the slightest. We said we love a barn find, but this could really be the very best barn find ever. The fact so much of this car is as it was when it left the dealership is just insane. If you want to find out more about this car now, check out the link here.
