Drag racing has always been a good part of American automotive culture. Any car from any part of the world can take part, as long they’re quick and fast. Here is one of those drag races involving a powerful American muscle car and a potent supercar killer from Japan. Of course, it’s interesting to know whether a monster-tuned Dodge Demon of Demonology can beat a Nissan GT-R drag racing champ.

Demonology Calls Out LunaTik For A Drag Race Challenge

This drag race was actually part of an automotive gathering — known as “The Big Showdown 3” — that YouTuber Demonology (aka Herman Young in real life) organized two weeks ago. Held at the Texas Motorplex, the gathering featured various events such as roll racing, car show, and YouTuber exhibition races.

For The Big Showdown 3, Demonology called out several YouTubers with insanely quick and fast cars. One of these YouTubers that received the call-out from Demonology was Luna Tran, who daily drives a white Nissan GT-R with pink Hello Kitty graphics. Getting called out only means one thing — this Hello Kitty GT-R known as LunaTik is the real thing on the drag strip.

LunaTik: An Insane Hello Kitty Drag Racing Champ

At first glimpse, LunaTik looks like a laid-down GT-R simply because it has Hello Kitty graphics. But at closer inspection, the graphics do say “Jotech,” which is actually one of the more well-known tuners and drag racing teams stateside. Jotech boasts more than 50 wins on the drag racing circuit, and takes pride in tuning the first GT-R in the world that could finish the quarter-mile in under 10 seconds.

Actually, LunaTik is one of Jotech’s winning cars, capable of completing a quarter-mile in upper seven seconds. Piloted by Jotech’s very own Luna Rose Tran, LunaTik dominated the GTR2 class at the TX2K22 at the Houston Raceway Park. Luna and her LunaTik were consistent at the event, posting times of 8.21, 8.00, 8.02 and 8.00 seconds to win the GTR2 class.

LunaTik Won The Run But Lost The Race

LunaTik should be a formidable opponent for Demonology's “Soul Snatcher” Dodge Demon, which is capable of clocking eight seconds on the quarter-mile. But numbers were in LunaTik’s favor, and Luna intended to crush Demonology. Indeed, the kitty outran the demon during their race.

At the end, though, Soul Snatcher won the duel; LunaTik got a red light by leaving the starting before the green light signal. Luna received a disqualification, an automatic loss, and a “Soul Snatched” shirt from Demonology.
