When we say Toyota Supra, what comes to your mind? The 10-second car from Fast & Furious with a curly-topped Paul Walker driving it, right?

We beg to differ because once you see what car designer, artist, and overall autophile Oscar Vargas has done to the J29 Supra (the fifth generation) on his Instagram, you’ll never think F&F ever again.

A Supra Pickup & Sedan Because YOLO

Vargas, who goes by the Instagram handle wb.artist20, has imagined the Toyota Supra MK IV in a new avatar, in twin renderings.

Writes the artist, “I have an unhealthy obsession with putting a truck bed and tailgate on everything lol. Showing a little love to the imports as well. Let me know what y’all think!”

In the first picture, the J29 Supra is now a pickup truck and looks more like a ute. Sadly, the artist only put a rearview rendering, and we could not get a look at the front of the renders. But the extended tailgate Supra looks good, although some Instagram users gave it a thumbs down.

One seemed to fan over the Supra pickup though, writing, “Same. When I lived in Philly, the most common car was a Honda Civic, mostly late 1990s early 2000s, so I wanted to buy one, beef up the frame, and make a little pickup out of it. Everyone thought I was crazy. But if I had the space, I definitely would have done it. I think I've googled just about every car/van converted into a truck. Never stop doing this! When I get a garage, I'm going to be in touch, so you can help me bring some to life!”

In the next picture, Vargas put the same truck rendering, as well as a rendering of a J29 Supra sports sedan, but a lot edgier than its actual existence. We admit, even from the rear, it looks like a mean race car, ready to take on just about anything.

Vargas Loves His Ute Renderings

Vargas seems to love converting sedans and sports cars into utes and pickups, at least on his computer screen in renderings, if not for real. Another one of his creations, which made an Instagram user comment that “If this was real mustang purists would start shooting” was, of course, a ‘Stang ute.

Wrote the artist, “Y’all wanted to see a Mustang Foxbody truck or UTE so here ya go! This one is based on a Cobra Hatchback to top it off! Let me know what y’all think!”
