Part of what makes Jay Leno such an authoritative voice on all things automobiles is his deep knowledge on a wide range of vehicles, whether it's a classic '49 Citroen wildy ahead of its time or the 2011 Pagani Huayra, which he highlights in a clip as possessing both "the masculine and the feminine element" to its design. The clip comes by way of YouTube channel Jay Leno's Garage, and showcases not just the Huayra – though, while not as insane as the track-focused Imola and likely definitive Huayra, still remains impressive today – but also its owner, country singer Keith Urban, who shares how he evolved from being a pickup truck driver into the supercar kind too.

Jay Leno Opens The Hood On Keith Urban's 2011 Pagani Huayra

Following in the tradition of its predecessor by sporting an Argentinian word for a name, Huayra is – as Urban informs Leno – "the Argentinian god of wind.” After admiring the Huayra's glossy carbon fiber and noting its light 2,900 pound weight, Leno and Urban get to it uncovering the car's 700-hp 6L AMG twin-turbo V12 engine.

Once the two get around to exploring the interior, which boasts an impressive dashboard, Leno's attention focuses on a small dial nestled in the passenger seat. When Urban tells him it's for adjusting the seat height, Leno can't help from joking, "So it's not a bidet?" With a thorough examination of the supercar complete, there was only one thing left for the two to do: take the Huayra out for a spin.

The Evolution Of Keith Urban's Taste In Cars

A person's car preferences can change drastically over time, as it did in Urban's case, which he shares while driving behind the wheel of his Huayra with Leno tagging along for the ride. When asked what his first car was, Urban admitted to getting a truck when he was 16 years old – a far cry from the Huayra and Bugatti supercars the country star owns today.

"I always loved lumbering cars," Urban said to Leno. "But Nic [Nicole Kidman] ... she had a BMW, and I drove it and suddenly went – oh ... it slowly started changing the way I drove." After having spent an afternoon with Urban for a supercar ride-along and interview, Leno caps off the video with a glowing endorsement of the country star: "He's got extremely good taste in cars."
