Putting a muscle car up against a mid-size SUV might seem unfair. But, in this drag race between a Jeep Trackhawk and a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, the mid-size SUV has a pretty great advantage. The Drag Racing and Car Stuff YouTube channel showcases this awesome race and here are the results.

A Smoking Start

The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat gets off to a smoking start when it spins its back wheels around so aggressively that smoke fills its perimeter. Although this might be a way to scare the Jeep Trackhawk, it certainly doesn't work.

Dodge's Challenger SRT Hellcat features a bigger engine than the Trackhawk, but not much bigger. The Dodge features a supercharged Hemi V8 that can churn out an exhilarating 717 horsepower. Whereby, the Jeep Trackhawk is kit out with a Hellcat Hemi engine, which can offer 707 horsepower. Although the Jeep might look inferior, what's under its hood says otherwise.

After pulling away from the start line, the drag race gets off to an exciting start, where the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat leaves the Jeep Trackhawk behind. Yet, this start doesn't give the Hellcat an advantage, as the Jeep Trackhawk pulls off something amazing.

A Surprising Finish

Even though the start of the race sees the Jeep Trackhawk trailing behind for some time, it doesn't allow the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat's wheel spins and incredible 0 to 60 mph ability to overrule it.

In just a few seconds, the Jeep Trackhawk catches up and ends up winning the quarter-mile race with a time of 10.91 seconds and a top speed of 129.32 mph. The Dodge falls in shortly behind with a time of 11.10 seconds and a quicker speed of 127.6 mph. Although the Dodge is quicker, it doesn't quite beat the likes of the Trackhawk.

This race just goes to show that a mid-size SUV can be just as capable as a muscle car. Even though it might look inferior or much heavier, the horsepower and racing ability can be just as good, or much better.

Overall, the Jeep Trackhawk attains a tremendous win against the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in this tight drag race. It might not have had a great start, but its finish was a momentous moment.
