In 2016, Seinfeld put some of his beloved cars for auction and sold off $22 million worth of his collection.
Jerry Seinfeld parted with 18 cars from his collection, 16 from his stunning collection of Porsches and two Volkswagens. Among the top vehicles sold during the auction were a 1973 Porsche 917/30 Can-Am Spyder that sold for $3 million and a 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 IROC, which fetched $2.3 million.
9 One Of The Cars In The Collection Sold For More Than $5 Million
During the 2016 car auction, the most impressive sale was the 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder that sold for a whopping $5.3 million, making it one of the most prized Porsches in Jerry Seinfeld's collection. Built on the Porsche 356, the 550 was designed to be a lightweight, iconic sports car. It featured a 1,498 CC DOHC Type 547 flat-4 engine and was powerful enough to run 0-60 mph in about seven seconds and achieve a top speed of 140 mph.
