YouTube celebrity Christian from the online channel JR Garage was among three people injured Sunday in a three-car collision that also killed one person in Scottsdale, Arizona. The internet celebrity, who doesn't use his last name and hosts the channel with brother Jeff, was apparently in satisfactory condition in the hospital, although his 2006 Dodge Viper was totaled during the accident. An investigation continues to determine the cause of the crash.

YouTube Star Admitted To ER

Mere hours after the accident was reported, social media was rife with rumors that Christian was involved in the crash and that his brother was also a passenger at the time. However, JR Garage posted on Instagram Story that stated Christian was in the passenger seat when the collision took place and was taken to ER, where he was listed as stable and improving.

A lot of fans wished the star well, offering hopes for a speedy and complete recovery while adding condolences to the driver that died in the incident. However, readers were not so kind to Christian when the story appeared on Reddit, which prompted some detractors to complain that it wouldn't take the brothers long to buy a replacement. Others pointed out the danger of driving a Viper.

Vipers Aren't Exactly Beginner-Friendly

So far, there's no indication of foul play or that the Viper caused the mishap, although it should be noted that the Viper is hardly a car that a beginner can handle. For openers, Vipers have been known to exceed speeds of more than 200 miles an hour and leap from a stationary position to 60 miles an hour in less than four seconds.

That's a lot of power and partly because of that, its traction isn't the greatest. Until it was discontinued in 2017, the Viper was not noted for having any safety features in its otherwise small interior. A case in point was airbags, absent in earlier models of the Viper.

Show's Garnered More That 1.2 Million Subs

The JR Garage show has been active for at least four years, specializing in the passion the two hosts possess for anything automotive. Although the series isn't as popular as the rebuilding and racing hijinx of Hoonigan or the upscale test-drives on Supercar Blondie, the show's been building a very loyal following with more than 1.2 million subscribers at last count.
