Ram has unveiled the Kentucky Derby Edition 2500HD and 3500HD pickups for those looking to transport their multi-million dollar horses in style.

The New York Auto Show is filled with fancy new electric concepts and luxurious sedans, but we haven’t seen much in terms of new pickup trucks. Maybe that’s due to New York’s famously narrow streets and heavy downtown traffic, or maybe it’s just a matter of timing for truck manufacturers.

Ram didn’t want to come away from New York completely empty-handed, so they broke out a new heavy-duty pickup truck geared for making transport of a thoroughbred just a little bit easier.

The Kentucky Derby Edition Ram 2500 and 3500HD pickups are here to commemorate the 145th Kentucky Derby. In keeping with the transporting of horses theme, each pickup is outfitted with the latest and greatest in trailering technology from Ram, including a 360-degree surround-view camera with trailer-reverse guidance and active hitch grid lines. Air suspension and bed lowering are also standard, along with a bed step and a DOT safety kit.

Forward collision warning with trailer breaking as well as blind-spot monitoring are also standard to keep your precious cargo as safe as can be.

On the inside, each Kentucky Derby Edition gets a 12-inch Uconnect infotainment touchscreen, navigation, and Sirius XM radio. Premium leather with wood and metal trim gives the pickup an element of class, while black and brown hybrid seats from the Limited and Longhorn trims give the special edition something just a little bit more special.
