Comedian Kevin Hart has had a series of mishaps the past couple of years from a car accident to being denied the opportunity to host the 2019 Oscars, but none of those incidents have stopped him from laughing all the way to the bank. The checks continue to roll in faster than he can deliver punchlines, with much of that moola parlayed into his mounting car collection that includes a 1970 Dodge Charger boasting 1,000 horsepower. But his latest acquisition is fresh from the Ferrari factory in the form of a 488 Pista.

Pista's V8 Crushes With 711 Horsepower

Purchasing the Pista marks a departure from Hart's gradual accumulation of four-wheelers, most of them decidedly classic cars remodded for speed. But then, it's hard to improve on a Ferrari. But the Pista is different in that it's a model designed to be tailor-made to its clientele right down to the color. Ferraris are traditionally red or will at least brandish a red stripe on their exteriors. That said, there have been tons of exceptions to the rule, especially in this case with Hart opting for a deep blue.

Still, when it comes to boosting its performance, Hart doesn't have that much leverage. This 488 Pista is already a powerful beast with a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 engine delivering 711 horsepower and 567 pound-feet of torque. Paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission, this thing will tear up the pavement at a top speed of 211 mph and jump from a standstill to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds.

The Pista will join Hart's other Ferraris, namely a 458 Spider and two 488 GTB Spiders. Other luxury vehicles in his possession include a couple of Mercedes—an SLS AMG coupe and a G65 AMG G-Wagen—as well as an Aston Martin Vanquish, a Maserati Gran Turismo convertible, and a Range Rover. But his tastes in what he owns are also quite eclectic from a Ford Mustang GT500E and a Pontiac GTO to a Ford Explorer and a GMC Yukon Denali.

Here's hoping Hart takes care of his latest toy, given that his prized Barracuda armed with a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat engine was totaled back in 2019. Critically injured in the crash, Hart has since recovered and is back delivering the guffaws that made him famous.
