The SUV game is somehow taking the off-road route with the unveiling of the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and Ford Bronco. Nonetheless, other carmakers such as Kia Motors wanted to show the public they too offer off-road capable SUVs that can be personalized according to the owners' wishes. So, Kia revealed two concepts to show off-road enthusiasts how far they can personalize their 2021 Sorento.

Kia's Sorento SUV isn’t really known for its trail-ready toughness. But for the 2021 model year, Kia is introducing a new Sorento model that offers greater capabilities off the road. The new X-Line trim for the new 2021 Sorento features 1.0-inch higher ground clearance, higher ride height of up to 8.3 inches, improved approach and departure angles, a more robust roof rack, distinct 20-inch rims, as well as more advanced AWD with snow-mode.

Using the 2021 Sorento X-Line as the base, LGE-CTE Motorsports of San Dimas, California, created the Sorento Yosemite Edition and the Sorento Zion Edition. As you might have already noticed, these custom builds were inspired by US national parks that are known for their harsh and wild outdoor environments.

Wrapped in a Pine Green matte finish with gloss and black accents, the Kia Sorento Yosemite Edition is built for high-elevation adventuring and mountain living. The Yosemite Edition also features a brawny roof rack to accommodate more outdoor gear.

On the other hand, the Kia Sorento Zion Edition is wrapped in a Desert Sand gloss finish with black accents. As its finish name indicates, the Zion Edition is built to conquer the desert environments and its sand dunes. It features a full-length cargo top.

Both wilderness-themed SUVs protect themselves from the wild with custom skid plates and brush guards in satin chrome finish. Featuring custom fender flares,  the Sorento Yosemite and Zion Editions ride on 20-inch wheels shod with 32-inch all-terrain rubbers.

To allow buyers of the 2021 Sorento to customize their drives, Kia will offer port-installed and dealer-installed accessories, including roof rack crossbars, tow hitches, and side steps.
