With a 20-year career spanning more hits than misses and a self-taught multi-instrumental background, Kid Rock is quite the musical genius. His personal life, of course, may have more ups than downs and he may not everyone’s favorite poster boy, but that hasn’t affected his bank balances or his stable of cars in the least. Music-wise, Kid Rock is best described as eclectic. He has rapped, hip-hopped, hard-rocked, heavy-metalled, country-funked and souled his way through just about the whole of his career, singing in whichever styles that just strike his fancy at any given moment.

That eclectic taste of his also extends to his cars. He’s got the top-end luxury models and the classic pickup trucks sitting side by side. He’s got fast cars and slow cars, big cars and small cars, trucks and convertibles, and whatever strikes his fancy. But that’s Kid Rock—someone who doesn’t quite care about what you think of him (or his cars) and goes about his own merry way.

He likes cars, has even designed a concept for SEMA, and is in love with classic old timers that run on four wheels. He’s tried his hand at every kind of music, some acting, and whatever else he wants to do. Some call him average and some call him one of the greatest musicians on the earth. Call him what you want but he has a great set of wheels in his stable—even if some of them are beaters, technically!

20 An Old Beater: 1964 Pontiac Bonneville

Via Pinterest

The Pontiac Bonneville has a rich history in the automobile world. It lived for ten generations and was dubbed as one of the heaviest cars of that era. Kid Rock’s Bonneville is a 1964 example and is worth a whopping $225,000. It attracted a lot of eyeballs as it had a set of six foot wide Texas longhorns attached to the front of the car’s hood. Nudie Cohn, a celebrity car customizer (also known as Nudie Suits for his couture talent), did the modification job for Kid Rock. He loved the car so much that he drove it in his music video that highlighted his patriotic anthem, "Born Free".

19 An Old Beater: 1947 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup

Via Twitter

This is a legendary post-war pickup truck and quite the masterpiece in his garage. Kid Rock grabbed this Chevrolet 3100 pickup from the used car bazaar. The deal cost him upwards of $25,000. The 3100 is highly regarded in the classic car collector circles and was the first one to arrive in the commercial vehicles market following World War II. And, in fact, its design looked thoroughly futuristic for that age. From 1947 until 1955, they were the kings of the truck market and maintained their number one spot in the domestic market. This two-door truck uses a 3.5-liter inline-six workhorse to power itself and while the horsepower may not match the current generation, Kid Rock still loves them.

18 An Old Beater: 1959 Ford F-100

Via Pinterest

This one is a classic pickup and it has many titles to its name. Ford F-100 was the first pickup to offer a four-wheel drive to the truck buying masses. It may have lacked in the power department but it excelled in build quality, making it practically impossible to dent or ding. The F-Series has been the best-selling pickup truck since 1977 and the best-selling vehicle since 1986 in the domestic market. Any diehard collector of classic cars would love to have this one in his or her garage. The Ford F-100 is still extremely desirable and is a rarity in the vintage car shows. Kid Rock owns a 1959 example that may be well maintained but you can't teach old dogs new tricks.

17 An Old Beater: 1957 Chevrolet Apache

Via Pinterest

This one may seem like a beater but it did appear on Kid Rock's social media once. The 1957 Apache is known as the second series of Chevy pickups and belonged to the light-duty category of the lineup. In automobile history, it is remembered as the first pickup that rolled off the production line with Chevy's new 4.6-liter V8 oil-burner. Plus, its unique styling made it a superstar overnight, at the time. The Apache was the first pickup truck to feature a groundbreaking wrap-around windshield. Its open-mouthed grill and hood wind splits made it look iconic and unforgettable, though you probably wouldn't find many takers for it now.

16 An Old Beater: 1967 Lincoln Continental

Via Flickr

Detroit-born music icon Kid Rock loves to display his Lincoln Continental in every car show that he can possibly attend. He owns a 1967 Lincoln Continental that, in fact, also made a cameo in his music video titled “Roll On”. He chose this car for this video because it represents the heart and soul of his hometown city, Detroit, and drove it in his city's streets during the filming of the video. Now, this Lincoln may not hold to a candle to the fast cars of today and is basically a well-maintained beater. But a man loves what a man loves and Kid Rock is still in love with his Detroit-inspired Lincoln.

15 An Old Beater: 1930 Cadillac V16

Via Hemmings

According to The Guardian, Kid Rock once stated that he owns a 100 point car as everything about it is impeccable and looks immaculate. He was talking about his prized possession: a black 1930 V16 Cadillac Cabriolet. He added that the 1930 Cadillac oozes elegance and exclusiveness that none of the cars of today can even remotely match up to. Not even auto journalists and writers know much about the cost and history of his vintage black Cadillac. However, some of them claim that it’s a little over half a million dollars. So sometimes, beaters can cost an arm and a leg, too.

14 An Old Beater: 1973 Cadillac Eldorado

Via ClassicCars

The Oil Crisis of 1973 took a heavy toll on the automobile industry on a global scale. This was the time when fuel prices in the domestic markets skyrocketed. However, Cadillac unveiled its 1973 facelift Eldorado that carried an 8.2-liter V8 mill under its hood. It was the seventh-generation Eldorado and was substantially redesigned. Its V8 engine returned a peak of 235 horsepower. During that era, it was pegged as the class-defying luxury convertible from GM’s stable of cars. It may be a slow car as it peaks at only 117 mph but Kid Rock had a best-of-the-best hydraulic air system installed to make it more rocking. But still, a car of this age cannot really compete with the new ones of today.

13 An Old Beater: Chevrolet Chevelle SS

Via Pinterest

One car sits on the topmost slot of the food chain of the classic muscle cars. It is a downright monster, the Chevrolet Chevelle SS. During its era, the Chevelle SS was Chevrolet’s gambit in the muscle car battle. And it came out with flying colors in this horsepower race thriving between car companies. A more powerful LS6 trim was also offered to the SS buyers. It was armed with a single four-barrel 800 CFM Holley carburetor. More importantly, its 7.4-liter Big Block V8 oil-burner is capable of thrashing out a winning 450 horsepower and 500 ft-lb of torque. Kid Rock has one parked in his garage in immaculate condition but it's old, and there's only so much life in a car, right?

12 An Old Beater: 1975 WCC Cadillac Limousine

Via Chariotz

West Coast Customs (of Pimp My Ride fame) has some extremely prestigious clientele on their list of clients. Kid Rock was associated with them for his vintage, exclusive 1975 Cadillac Limousine. This 210-horsepower V8 Cadillac was turned into a beauty by giving it a stunning midnight black paint job with gold trim highlights. According to Speed Society, Kid Rock’s style in his music, appearance, and actions has a sense of hard-knocking style and this is what this musical genius has become known for. It reflects in this automotive aficionado’s car collection as well. However, this car may have been cool in 1975; now, it's just an old and forgotten classic, relegated to beater status.

11 An Old Beater: 10th Anniversary Pontiac Trans Am

Via TVGuide

Another classic in Kid Rock's fleet of cars is a 1979 10th Year Anniversary Pontiac Trans Am. This car also featured in the flick Joe Dirt alongside Kid Rock when he made a cameo in the movie and drove the Trans Am. This stunning car has a bold, 6.6-liter V8 power keg under its hood that can spit out 185 horsepower and 320 ft-lb of torque. Being a 10th Anniversary Version makes this Pontiac a rare one. Only 7,500 of these were ever sold on the car market. Kid Rock has one of these in pristine condition in his bay but frankly, the market of classic car collectors seems to be an ever-shrinking one.

10 So Very Cool: Jesse James 1962 Chevrolet Impala

via pinterest

Seriously, lugging around a nearly 50-year-old car takes some doing and Kid Rock has a number of these classic beaters in his garage. This one is a legendary automobile name that was a dream of every muscle car fan. He owns an electric blue 1962 Chevrolet Impala that he loves to showcase in car shows. It is, mostly, exhibited alongside his other vintage classic: the 1964 Pontiac Bonneville featuring exceptional Texas Longhorns. The Rock’s Impala was exclusively built by Jesse James, a renowned TV personality famous for Austin Speed Shop and West Coast Choppers. The renewed Impala carried a massive 409 V8 as its heart that is tied to a four-speed automatic. Even The Beach Boys wrote a song that was inspired by this beauty.

9 So Very Cool: Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD Kid Rock Concept

Via Pinterest

Apart from creating successful music albums, Kid Rock was also behind the creation of a massive Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD. The mammoth truck was showcased in the 2015 SEMA show, as well. The truck was a tribute to the workers of the US and a celebration of freedom. According to autoNXT, he mentioned that GM’s Flint plant in Michigan and its workers are the backbones of our country. He further added that he wanted the Silverado to look bold and carry features that could befit working-class guys. Undoubtedly, this Kid Rock concept looked a class apart with a bigger bowtie emblem on the front grill, stunning chrome exhaust stacks, and patriotic graphics on the sides.

8 So Very Cool: Bugatti Veyron

Via USAToday

Bugatti's Veyron needs no introduction. Any car enthusiast would know the car in and out. The design of the car is a phenomenon in itself. It drips opulence from all angles. It is practically known as the king of all speed machines. It has a massive, 8.0-liter, quad-turbocharged W16 workhorse that can return a peak of 987 horsepower and 922 ft-lb worth of torque at the wheels. The W16 engine power is equivalent to the power of two narrow-angle V8 units scrammed together. Plus, the car has been recorded at a mind-warping 254 mph. With astronomical maintenance costs, only the rich and famous can afford it.

7 So Very Cool: Ferrari 458

Via TopGear

It is dubbed as the greatest Ferrari of all the Ferrari cars that the luxury auto giant ever manufactured. The phenomenal 458 is considered spectacular by a plethora of motoring enthusiasts. According to ZigWheels, its engine note is a delight to all the senses. In fact, it has one of the best-sounding engines in the world of automobiles and that’s its trademark. It uses 4.5-liter Ferrari-Maserati F136 V8 mill that returns an overwhelming 562 horsepower and equally vast 398 ft-lb of torque. It accomplishes a 0-60 mph sprint in just 3.4 seconds. The overall driving experience is pure bliss and leads to the question of whether Kid Rock turns down his music to listen to the engine.

6 So Very Cool: GMC Sierra 1500

Via Pinterest

Kid Rock has been a cool customer of Georgia’s Rocky Ridge Trucks. This time, they gave him an all-new, custom 4X4 white GMC Sierra 1500. The truck is loaded with Rocky Ridge’s trademark K2 Package and looks spectacular inside out. The behemoth received an upgraded 2.9-liter Twin Screw Whipple supercharger. The new powerplant is good enough to return a peak of 577 horsepower, which is enough to scales the tallest peaks in style. Plus, customized embroidered leather seats and plasma cut “Detroit Cowboy” logos to the tailgate added crowning glory to this nerve-racking and serious-looking machine that is capable of decimating the roads.

5 So Very Cool: 2011 Chevy Camaro SS

Via Twitter

If you are really lucky, you can expect a Camaro SS as a gift for your fortieth birthday—either that or you better be Kid Rock. This modern-day muscle car was a gift from Chevrolet. It was presented by the NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson to the music star in a gala event. It was the Detroit cowboy’s fortieth birthday and it had to be something special. But at the time, Kid Rock actually thought that he was being punked. The SS was painted in black and the black wheels and black-wall tires on the car made it look phenomenal. According to AutomotiveNews, in 2010, the Chevy Camaro was honored with World Car Design of the Year at the World Car of the Year Awards.

4 So Very Cool: 2006 Ford GT

Via Weissach

Kid Rock is a true classic cars admirer and he has some glowing sought-after modern classics among his fleet of cars. One of them is a first-generation 2006 Ford GT. The Ford GT has a special place in his heart because his father owned the largest Ford dealership in Michigan. This mid-engine sports car is a rarity, as only 4,038 units were ever built by Ford between 2004 and 2006. In its debut year, it won Top Gear's “Gas Guzzler of the Year" Award. According to Car and Driver, it achieves a 0-60 mph acceleration time in a raucous 3.3 seconds.

3 So Very Cool: 2004 Rolls-Royce Phantom

Via Youtube

How do you announce to the world that you have reached peak celebrity? For many celebs, it’s the way they roll. In a Rolls we mean, and for Kid Rock, it is the Rolls-Royce Phantom. This is one quirky car, though it has its fill of all the finer amenities of life as you need in a luxury car. The rear-hinged doors are one aspect sure to appeal the metal streak in Kid Rock and the acceleration prowess doesn’t hurt either. Also, the entertainment system in this car is worked by violin key switches on the panel. And the upper vents are operated by push-pull organ stops, so this is one car with a slight sense of humor, too.

2 So Very Cool: 2018 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350

Via Motor1

There are times when every celebrity wants to get away from it all. And sometimes, literally, it’s the paps that they want to escape from and the best way to do so is to be in one cool and fast car—like the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350. And yes, Kid Rock does own one of these beauties with a 5.2-liter V8 powerhouse cranking the horsepower all the way to 526 and revving all the way to 8,250 rpm. When in need, this nifty luxury ride can take you from 0-60 in under four seconds and that engine whine that literally roars into action when you floor the accelerator on this marvelous creation.

1 So Very Cool: The Dukes Of Hazzard 1969 Dodge Charger

Via Mad4Wheels

Who doesn't remember General Lee from the 70s hit series The Dukes of Hazzard? The orange Dodge Charger was made famous by Bo and Luke as they bootlegged all over towns and evaded the cops. So many of these Dodge Chargers were destroyed during the making of the series that after a point, the 1969 Dodge Charger started to become a rarity. But Kid Rock owns a superb replica of the General Lee, despite the 325 odd cars that were destroyed by the 147 episodes of the show. And while this orange striped wonder looks great, what’s truly wondrous is that 7.0-liter powerhouse that can truly make it fly on the real-life roads.
