The website eBay is one of the biggest auction sites in the world, so it is perhaps no surprise that classic cars can be found there. These can include classic muscle cars, sports cars, and everything in between. What you might not expect, however, is for a car from a movie to be listed for sale. But Videobob Moseley is highlighting a car that he is selling and was used in Knight Rider 2000. This is KIFT, also known as the Knight Industries Four Thousand.

Current Asking Price And Details

The current listing price for this car is $20,000 but expect that to rise and rise over the coming days. This is the exact car that actor David Hasselhoff drove in the movie Knight Rider 2000, a spin-off of the original Knight Rider series. If you think the styling for this is familiar, that is because it is based on the concept of the Pontiac Banshee of around the same time, and that eventually became the fourth generation of the Pontiac Trans-Am. Some things had to be changed at Pontiac’s request, due to it being so similar to the Banshee.

Also Appeared In Power Rangers

It isn't the first car we've seen up for auction from a Knight Rider series. The KIFT also appeared in a few more movies and series, such as the Power Rangers Time Force series, but the car is actually based on a Dodge Stealth with two being produced with manual and self-driving modes. Despite being outwardly in good condition, it does still need a full restoration Bob says and is the only one of the Knight Rider cars from that film currently up for sale.

Very Close To The Banshee

via YouTube

It is as close to a Banshee as we can get without it actually being a Banshee. The motor sadly got blown up while being used in other shows so that will need a full restoration if it is to be made road legal, which it can’t be as it has no mirrors or indicators. Different shots from the Knight Rider film allow you to be certain which car is which, and this is very much the hero car that was driven by David Hasselhoff. Hopefully, it can find a good home and be potentially put back into working order to show events and demonstrations.
