Almost two and a half years after the Jesko premiered, the Swedish automaker Koenigsegg kicked off production and showed the first pre-production prototype of its supercar. The car has been painted in Tang Orange Pearl with silver and carbon fiber colors. In all other aspects, the car does not differ from the example shown at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.

Jesko Supercar Specifications And Features

For the successor of the record-breaking Agera RS, Koenigsegg has developed a new monocoque with integrated fuel tanks and a roll cage. In addition, they used Dyneema ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene for the first time. The Jesko's body panels are made of carbon-Kevlar prepreg and hide a redesigned 5.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine.

On normal fuel, the engine produces 1,280 hp, while on bioethanol E85, the car produces 1,600 hp. Peak torque of 1,500 Nm is available at 5,100 rpm and 1,000 Nm in the range of 2,700-6,170. Traction to the rear axle is transmitted through the robotic Light Speed Transmission without synchronizers and with eight multi-plate clutches. The gearbox is able to provide explosive acceleration at any speed.

The design of the suspensions is also unusual. Like the Agera, The Jesko uses a Triplex system with an additional horizontal shock absorber. The one that is mounted at the back helps during a sharp start, and the front one is useful at high aerodynamic loads. In addition, the Koenigsegg Jesko is equipped with Active Rear Steering, which steers the rear wheels in any direction at an angle of up to three degrees.
